my experience of achievement hunters are people who:-
- throw tantrums in guild chats over motives/recipies/praxis etc
- throw tantrums in zone chat over chests/nodes
- look down their nose at anyone who plays the game diffrently to them then gets offended by anyone who may take a dim view on their behaviour
- demand carries through vet dungeons they can not be bothered to complete legitimately - as in learn the mechanics and work as part of a team to complete the content in a fun & enjoyable way.
- demand carries through trials they have no interest in learning their role for & demand armour at the end of it- again a refusal to learn the mechanics and work as part of a team to complete the content in a fun & enjoyable way.
- demand carries or worse pay in game gold or real life money to other people to play their account so they can complete ALL vet trials - because they 'need' the gear but refuse to learn the mechanics and (where appropriate) work as part of a team to complete the content in a fun & enjoyable way.
- throw temper tantrums in zone/guild chat when they want emperor and if that fails they pay either in game gold or real life money for someone to 'hand it to them on a plate - because they hate PVP and are only there for the achievements, and dont see why they should L2P or work as part of a team to play objectivley in a fun & enjoyable way
admittedly my experience of achievement hunters has been heavily skewed because of the people i have had the misfortune to encounter on my platform/server (especially as most of them have also been sexist pigs)
but as far as im concerned the last thing this game needs is more freebies to incentivise exploiting, account sharing and cheating achievement hunting

Having 20k plus achievement points means that you have dipped into all the content zos has to offer. You can't really prove you have it and there is no real incentive to get achievements that have no reward tied to them but as a completionist I'll still get them anyway. It would be nice if zos added rewards that rewarded players that complete as much content that zos developers have worked hard on, whether pvp, pve, questing you must experience them all to get a high achievement point so reward those who experiance the game to the fullest with exclusive rewards. Mounts, skins, titles etc are ideas.

Rewards are built into the system. Titles, costumes, skins, hats and dies. I may have missed something but that is at least the bulk of achievement reward areas.

How about an Over Achiever polymorph:imnotanother wrote: »I've been suggesting the "Over Achiever" title for a few years now.

MMOs are played for satisfaction, not fun. You put time in so you can enjoy the outcome, not the time you are spending.
I used to not like achievements in video games, and i still kind of dont, but since they have lowered the time needed to do anything in modern mmos there should be some method for dedicated players to stand out. The good thing about achivement points is it at least shows you have done lots of different things
Maybe something like:
- 5000 achievement points - title
- 10 000 achievement points - costume
- 15 000 achievement points - polymorph
- 20 000 achievement points - mount
It would motivate players to keep playing the game if they can get nice rewards.
