What would happen if 2 Players had the Exact same AP Score and their Faction Toppled the Inner Ring?

I realize this is a very unlikely possibility but I'm curious what would happen? Can it happen?

Yes but suppose for a moment they had an equal score, would the system automatically choose one over the other?

Assuming they got to the top score at the same time I'd assume that it'd be either:
a) random
b) based on CP
c) based on alliance war rank
d) based on how many points the palyers got from the last score counting

Alternativley it might lag out and make it so noone gets emperor, if this is the case I'd honestly not be surprised.

I almost wonder if it would fubar Cyrodiil and no one got Emperor -or- Everyone got Emperor (joking).

It comes down to whether the server considers ties 'won' by the person who previously has more points, or by the person who most recently acquired points.

Either way, whoever was in the higher leaderboard position as a result of that arbitrary condition.

First let's consider the fact that 2 players, even if they're playing in the same town, even in the same room, they will always have a different latency, different video lag, different running processes, not to mention different IPs in the local network, making this scenario very unlikely.

Assuming that, planets alignment, total eclipse, predicted by Mayas, and mystical powers, it happens, the most likely scenario is that the first name, alphabetically, will be crowned emp before the other.

Since names are unique, you will always have someone with an higher position, therefore, in my opinion, that's what would happen.

Of course, this is just a hypothesis, since I know nothing of the algorithm doing the calculation.

Or, it could happen the same thing it would happen if you divide by 0.

Who knows.

I guess the system will give emp to the one who will reach the points in first and get the 1st place.
Because even if they have exactly same ap score, one got it before the other, and the 1st place.

If you look at leaderboards (including AP), if two people have the same score, they get the same rank. However, one is still above the other. The one on top would most-likely get emp. I doubt ZOS even thought of this event in any way. Based on my group finder experiences, implementing a check for who was first to get rank 1 would probably make rank 51 emperor when dying from fall damage as well as all DKs immune to fire damage... or something similar.

#1 spot remains the #1 spot.

Then the leaderboards upadate (in this case, for Emp), they're not looking for equal values, they're looking for greater values.

It's nothing more than a simple sort, and if spot #2 is not greater than spot #1. Nothing shifts.

Spot #1 takes it. (Beyond that, it would be arbitrary based on their internal position in an internal list.)

TL;DR; The WGT would not, in fact, explode.

Actually that leaked it's going to be the free cyrodil BG 12v12v12 arena. It's set to be the only free BG outside of Morrowind and other expansions. Which I think is cool of them TBH

No, the right answer is:
- As long as 2 players have same score the emperorship will be delayed as long as one player is not at least 1 AP in front the other.

Same happens when you didn't reach 50k AP. 50k is requiered to be crowned. When you crown emperor befor 1 player reaches 50'000 AP it will be delayed even tho all keeps are already taken, you even can loose 5 Keeps and get still crowned on the last Keep.
