this. if SO is feeling neglected, one would hope that they are mature enough to vocalize it and discuss it with you, instead of passive aggressively damaging your stuff - virtual or otherwise. luckily, both my SO and I talk before acting out AND if there is a problem with priorities - correct aforementioned priorities. but.. my SO and I are also both gamers, so we have been known to wait until whatever group activity was over, before asking for whatever outside of the game (also the reason why I schedule vast VAST majority of my group based activities, and make sure other priorities are taken care of first) its a balance.

I used to have a link to such a study, but my computer died a couple of weeks ago and I lost all my bookmarks. (But now I have an awesome new computer, so yay. ... And now I finally at long last have a computer that can handle Fallout 4, which is the game I'll be getting next.)

On one hand, no video game should become THAT significant, but on the other hand, if it has become that significant, it means that there is something wrong somewhere, and my "other" isn't as "significant" anymore as he used to be. On top of that, such a brutal, respectless way from his part to "deal with the problem" would mean he's not someone worth sharing everyday life with.
So the conclusion would be that I'd get rid of both the game and the not-so-significant other.

Honestly I just answered as if they said "significant other" or another neutral term like that. I'm 100% sure this is something my ex-boyfriend would have done if I gave him the chance back when we are together, since he always reminded me of how everything I liked and every game I played was complete garbage.Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
