ALL your ESO characters got deleted, how upset would you be?
Example reaction: reaction of 2k17 career mode deleted. I'm curious if ESO gamer would get as mad as 2k17 if their characters got deleted.

    There are worse things.

    Had a guildie log in one day. Significant other had:

    Given away ever last coin and item.
    Stripped the gear and gave that away.
    Move to the far corner of a zone 10 levels above the character.
    Logged out.
    Power level to CP160 in a week:
    Where is the end game? You just played it.
    Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

    Nobody is worth as much as ESO. I'd propably kick her out and I didn't even spent year on this game.

    The generally amicable yet sporadically salty magplar that may or may not have 1vXed you in Sotha Sil. Who knows?

    Aint no girls going to be judging you off your answer, so answer truthfully.

    To help you answer truthfully,
    picture yourself getting kicked from group at final boss of very tough veteran dungeon, and you know the group will win
    picture yourself getting kicked from a very hard trial at final boss and you know the group will win.

    How does that feel?
    Now picture ALL your characters, not stripped... But DELETED, permanently.

    To me it would show they didn't respect me, which would mean my breaking up with them. People who respect each other don't do things like that. You can't have a healthy relationship if your spouse/girlfriend/boyfriend is willing to do stuff like that to you.

    Well, if i had a significant other who did any of that, they would no longer be my significant other. Full stop.

    But having said that....it's usually a sign that they are feeling very neglected. So maybe some compromises.

    If my girlfriend can't respect my hobbies then she doesn't deserve to be my girlfriend. Knowing my girlfriend is vengeful enough to do that is a dealbreaker.

    Why would my significant other

    1- be messing about on my computer? We each have a high end monster computer and we game together

    2-be messing with my characters? If my sweetie really wanted to have us stop playing ... like as in forever ... then all he'd have to do is say so.

    Somebody jumped in and messed with my stuff?

    They only make that mistake once.

    Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
    Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
    Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
    Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.

    House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
    Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    Would never happen, but if I pretend that it did - I'd be upset (I've played for years) but not too big of a deal, as ZOS would restore them for me. But I guess I'd need to change my password!

    Well, I'm the girl and my boyfriend play the game with me, so this would not be happening.

    But if it was I'd need to know the reasons behind such an act. its not so much the lose of character that matter here, but the offensive action. Have I done something to deserve it? Have I hurted/disappointed my other half to get such treatment? Is it a revenge? A warning? A act of rebellion? How the relationship had gone that bad to reach such a point. That's what I'd think of. The lose of characters means nothing, really.

    Also, you receive immediate message from ZoS, "you was warned before you deleted your character of them being permanently deleted, your character is no longer in our database"
    Then your girlfriend says "you need to stop playing that game all the time, *giggles*"

    Well, there actually are straight women and non-straight men playing this game. So "your girl" should really just be your significant other.

    I've only spent ~2 months so no biggie. :wink:

    I believe you can get your characters restored in most MMOs, since it wasn't you who deleted the characters.

    I watched the vid and I get the guys reaction...
    A prank is to pretend that something is gone but actually hasn't eg go on a new account (with no saves).
    That's to far and not a prank, so I'd get pissed mainly over that principle.

    Lulz. Maybe the girlfriend should talk to the boyfriend first.

    There is zero justification for vengeful behavior in a healthy relationship and no way to justify it

    Well, seeing as I'm a girl (or rather, a woman) & straight so far, I can't really answer.

    But if a partner did that I would go ballistic. Petty & pathetic behaviour. Do not care what their gripe was, it is an immature and counter-productive thing to do. So whilst I would try my best not to sink to their level of stupidity, there would be serious repercussions.

    And I would never do that to someone.

    (Altho I admit I once deleted saves from my teenagers AC 3 game when I had given them multiple warnings I would do so if they did not improve their behaviour. It worked as they were shocked I followed through on this. But that is quite quite different from adults doing it on an mmo where real money Is involved)
