Leveling Suggestion: Option to Start From CP10 After Level 50 Regardless of Other Character's CP

Recently a couple friends and I were discussing about how ZOS should bring in a new option in the character creation screen. One that would allow a character not to reach the universal CP of the player, rather start at CP10, allowing a fresh start in character progression. My CP630 friends (I am currently CP360) informed me that they started to feel without a new level of character progression to aim for, they lack the drive to continue playing ESO and they begin to move away from the game. I know first hand that leveling other characters to Level 50 is a nightmare in itself, but as a person who likes to aim to be the best (I know I'm mental) I feel that learning weaving, experimenting with new bars can eventually get boring once you have the best gear and the best CP.

Some people said that you can help other people, teach newbies and do trading. But what if I wanted to begin anew? after quite some time I'm sure you may have forgotten the quests you completed, so starting again would allow you to relive those moment's and undoubtedly induce some level of nostalgia. Not to mention, for RPG players it gives the game more "replay value" which I agree with. Which leads me to my next point. With One Tamriel ZOS sought to make the game more singleplayer friendly by making the game's regions level to the player. Henceforth more people who came from game's like Skyrim, Oblivion etc will be comfortable with the progression system.

I know this may seem absurd to some people, but I personally started having that worry that I may run out of the drive to play ESO because we lack this option. I only ask that the ability to start from CP10 after level 50 regardless of universal CP is provided, however players can still choose to use their universal CP.
I didn't trip and fall. I attacked the floor and I believe I am winning.

It would not be a bad option for those that wanted it. As long as it was an option.

I would love that so much. I love level progression and find myself dumping alts at 50 now. I always thought they should just give you an option when you start a new character, to choose if you want it to share CP or start fresh.

We all have that option. Only place 10 CP.

I'm rather confused about this process you are describing. Can you explain in further detail please?

You're asking not to be forced into cp160 gear after level 50 on alts?

No, rather to be given an option for an alt to start at CP10 after Level 50 rather than automatically being granted the CP of your highest CP alt

    Pffftttt....

...Alts at Level 50, they don't play for CP as progression, they play for skill points and to max those less then often used skills, mages/fighters guild and so on. I feel enough progression there to enjoy my playtime...

And as has been said, if someone really likes a handicap... they need only keep some of their CP unspent, as many as they like to have things feel right for them.

Have you been CP 10 since One Tamriel? Your character is stupidly weak, weaker than at any point previous. It's not fun, and you also can't buy gear at that level, nobody is selling.

I thought it sucked, couldn't get to 160 fast enough. Whatever feeling you're trying to get by going there, might want to get it some other way.

But w/e as long as I don't have to do it too.
Classes that don't need any class ability nerfs: Nightblades, Dragonknights, Sorcs, Templars, Wardens.

Perhaps some people like the grind and want that. That's why it should be optional. If someone doesn't want to, don't tick the box.

I think OP is confusing some things which is why.

Anyone can choose to allocate a limited number of CP less than the cap, or none at all. It certainly does not require any work on the part of Zos. Not something anyone needs Zos to save them from.

The other part OP mentions is forgetting the quests we completed. This has nothing to do with CP. We can roll a new character and complete any and all of the quests once again. It is very easy and we can still choose how much of the CP we allocate up to a max of the CP cap.

It is also irrelevant to any drive we have to play the game. We all choose our paths. For some it is clearing the field in Cyrodiil and others progression and scores in the trials and arenas. For others it is just tooling around with a group of buds, and more options out there.

Granted, OP has probably cleared everything and has reached his pinnacle with theorycrafting and testing builds. Probably in one of the first groups to clear vHoF HM if he has run out of new stuff to do, but the devs do not need to change anything for OP to be able to do what he is requesting.

Edit: lol, I quoted OP. Still, what I stated applies.

The CP you don't allocate won't boost your stats, in fact you can reset all your CP and spend NOTHING to see how the game at level 50 would be without the extra Health, Stamina, and Magicka on your own. You can also limit your own gear to equipping level 50 (Ebony mats) instead of 10cp if you want to really feel it.

I think you all might have got me wrong, it may be my fault. Let me clear this up. I want the ability to GAIN CPs on an ALT starting from 10 AFTER LEVEL 50 RATHER THAN HAVING THAT ALT INSTANTLY RECIEVE ALL THE CP THE MOMENT YOU REACH LEVEL 50. I want to START AGAIN FROM CP10. emphasis on start again. Not avoiding allocating CPs. To START FROM CP10. ofSunHold seems to understand so base off him.

But by not allocating you can go through that same process, it wouldn't be any different stat or strength wise. You don't get any benefits from CP until it has been slotted. By not spending any CP you get the same effect as not having it, you can "level" however you want.

If you really want to experience it again though, all you have to do is start again on the other server. If you're on the US Server, switch your game to the EU server and start brand new characters there. They will surely be starting back at 10cp once they reach level 50.

Then what happens when you reach CP630 in EU? Buy a new account? It would be easier to implement a system to allow alts to start from CP10 to level again.
