Recently a couple friends and I were discussing about how ZOS should bring in a new option in the character creation screen. One that would allow a character not to reach the universal CP of the player, rather start at CP10, allowing a fresh start in character progression. My CP630 friends (I am currently CP360) informed me that they started to feel without a new level of character progression to aim for, they lack the drive to continue playing ESO and they begin to move away from the game. I know first hand that leveling other characters to Level 50 is a nightmare in itself, but as a person who likes to aim to be the best (I know I'm mental) I feel that learning weaving, experimenting with new bars can eventually get boring once you have the best gear and the best CP.
Some people said that you can help other people, teach newbies and do trading. But what if I wanted to begin anew? after quite some time I'm sure you may have forgotten the quests you completed, so starting again would allow you to relive those moment's and undoubtedly induce some level of nostalgia. Not to mention, for RPG players it gives the game more "replay value" which I agree with. Which leads me to my next point. With One Tamriel ZOS sought to make the game more singleplayer friendly by making the game's regions level to the player. Henceforth more people who came from game's like Skyrim, Oblivion etc will be comfortable with the progression system.
I know this may seem absurd to some people, but I personally started having that worry that I may run out of the drive to play ESO because we lack this option. I only ask that the ability to start from CP10 after level 50 regardless of universal CP is provided, however players can still choose to use their universal CP.
I didn't trip and fall. I attacked the floor and I believe I am winning.
