A lore section would be great. It would help players interested in the lore to find and discuss information without the need of third party sites.
Besides, we have forum sections for almost anything, so why not for lore?

I would really like to see a lore section for the forums. The last ESO-live was really a blast and I would enjoy reading and discussing the rich background of TES here on the forums. Maybe with Zeb and Lawrence as special Mods :D

Of course. Would be a great place to talk and ask questions that are only lore related. Like, in the old game Morrowind, do you play the Navararine which I learned about in the new Morrowind DLC? Yeah, I been wondering about that.

Every section is dedicated to Lore, so long as there's fanboys complaining why there's a 0.00% chance of dragons ever entering this game (even though there are many, many, many possible ways to add dragons, even if they're not the Skyrim dragons).

      I'd rather recommend housing.

But It certainly would knock off the amount it happened- either by stopping the desire to do so in the first place, or just causing someone to drop a link to the discussion of Lore they want to talk about rather then putting in a full explanation

Bethesda recently integrated a lot of its forums into its main site. Including one for the Elder Scrolls Lore. You see, there already was a pretty active lore forum for Elder Scrolls since way back. Including one here would kinda split it. Though I can see the point that most ESO fans would only frequent this forum and not the Bethesda one.

In any case the lore forums for Elder Scrolls are here:

      https://bethesda.net/community/category/113/elder-scrolls-lore

In fact the Bethesda forums have a section for ESO and when you click on it it links to the forum here.

Yes, we need a Lore section
Just to toss out some of what I've found and felt on the subject-
When I found someone mention the creation of a Lore section, it wasn't the oringinal objective of the thread- but it is what everyone was talking about in the thread because it was such a good idea.
Many people complained and referenced the existence WoW Lore forums- forums that discussed not only the politics of game, but the value and importance of Lore. The main thing they missed about WoW in this was how active the community was with it. I joined the forum, very recently to ask a Lore question about an odd book I found. I got on and looked over the options of where to post- and I didn't feel like anywhere fit. I didn't exactly want to post it in 'General Discussion', because I didn't feel like it was fitting. I then went on to notice that Lore was being dropped in on random threads, and many people were not happy about having their section of the forum 'invaded.' I found the most accepting place to ask a Lore question- in the "Fiction and Roleplaying" area. But I realized something pretty quick- although they were helpful, that section of the forum was far from the largest. Many people who could be knowledgeable on this subject would never see my post.
My friend, when see this game, freaked out because he said the size of it was bigger than Windows operating system (not sure if it's true, I haven't really checked). Upon playing the game, I realized- each section had its own Lore. And a lot of it, packed in.
For people that like to learn the lore of Elder Scrolls, this game was huge. No one could manage to learn all of the lore of game without putting in over 200, 300, plus hours. Or without discussing it with a player knowledgeable on the area he was curious and foreign to.
A lot of effort was put in to creating that lore- and if I was someone that helped to create it, and I didn't even see a section of the official discussion forum bother to cover it- I would be insulted. The Lore is the heart of the Elder Scrolls franchise- and it seems vaguely self-destructive to not have the official forum's layout show any interest in it.
I am amazed this hasn't been resolved yet, especially with how long the game has been out. Having a new section of the forum dedicated to Lore could help to revamp the forums community as well.

That's the thing- I signed up for Bethesda's forum over there and the first thing that happens is they warn you that they have 'moved.' - so I went through the steps to find where the active conversation went- and that's the thing, by the looks of it, it died when they moved here. It may not have, but the least they could do is make it easy to find a link to it when discussing Lore. If you are interested in talking about ESO Lore specifically, they send you here. Which lacks a section dedicated to Lore. A lot of that stuff looked like it was Lore talk specific to the other games that were released- not ESO
By separating the forums, people don't realize where to go, causing a large amount of lore to just not be discussed. If they do figure out where to go, they have to register a new separate account, besides this one we use for this forum. At the very least I don't see any active link to get me to the area to discuss Lore, which is the least I ask

For me I love reading the lore of the game and peoples thoughts of things in the helping of the understanding of certain lore.

I wasn't aware either of a lore section when visiting these forums at first and did think it strange there was not one though did not think to ask if it might be somewhere else.

This one linked (by LMar) I didn't even know existed so nice to know it is there, though I think it should be placed somewhere more noticable and maybe in the Roleplaying section here if another lore forum is not created and if a lore forum is created here then a link to this other one placed there.

I think the forum needs more categories, there's so many good posts that can get lost in just one main category. Perhaps not just having a category dedicated to lore but perhaps outside the game as well? It could expand discussions more.

Yes, please. I want a lore section. Especially now with ESO Morrowind and One Tamriel happening, lore is all over the place. Lore gives meaning to the games we play, and TES games are soooooo rich in lore, it amazes me why the forums doesn't have a Lore Section.

The only information I know about the lore is from actually playing the questline. I wish there was a place where I could read about each region/race and how they all connect. Definitely a great idea and would be very interesting. I think it would make the questlines much more interesting too when knowing more background.

Technically Daedric Titans are corrupted and twisted versions of Dragons. So no need to put Dragons in.

It amazed me too when I got here... I started this poll in an attempt to get an answer. TBH, in my eyes it is just laziness. What I have found is that they must expect you to go elsewhere. My first thought is that they would probably want you to go to here: http://forums.bethsoft.com/forum/16-elder-scrolls-lore/
Bethesda's official TES lore forum. That, logically, would be the place to be for discussing that the developers would want you to go. If they were actually interested in solving this problem, they would have at least put that link I dropped above in this forum for a Lore section. People have aptly pointed out- they don't want a huge overlap or a ton of repeat content, so they may not want to found Another TES forum. Least they could do is make a mention of where to look or go for Lore on this forum but they don't. Which forces people to search other channels, leading to none other then the front page of the internet- Reddit. After raising this question in a few areas and being overly ignored and being lost in the mess that is this forum, I gave up on the official websites. I went to Reddit- and they have been a great deal of help. They even have threads that are opened to those clueless that waltz in and ask stupid questions. It's great, and a hell of a lot more helpful then this forum.
My other pitch I had is that by adding a Lore section to this forum, they could attract a whole new set of players to this forum- players that are curious and more dedicated to this game then many people who currently inhabit this forum. As you've probably noticed by now... this forum Is a giant angry boil. Many people who are on here are real A holes. People come here to cry and complain about the game, and then they stayed. That doesn't make a happy community. People who want to discuss Lore are showing an actual appreciation for the game- leading to a much friendlier base for this entire forum. honestly I feel like this forum has become to much to manage for the officials. This forum is far from trim, and besides the news updates, from what I've seen, doesn't have much input from any authority source. The threads are left to fester, and grow wild without any sort of any input with an answer from officials.
If you want to talk Lore, this thread is here to really just be salve on a wound and direct you to someplace to got for Lore.

Just earlier today i was wondering where the proper place to discuss lore was. I narrowed it down to here or the RP forum. The RP forum seems more for the odd types who probably spend more time writing character backstories than really delving into the games lore or contemplating its mysteries. So i considered the general forum to be the right place for lore discussion.

Im not sure if we need a subforum or should just start posting lots of lore related threads here in the hoped that it improves the place.

I started wondering earlier today after considering clocks. Is a clock anuic or padomaic?
