Ty. Did it work?
Maybe a one-word hint?
Yeah, you are likely to get "the" from her.
Spellcrafting was pet project of Konkle. He left ZOS about...2 years ago? Or even more?
Since then we heard no news about spellcrafting, except for tweets that developers want to add spellcrafting at some point. Also during one of episodes of ESO live they said "spellcrafting is on backburner".
Sounds more like dead, rather than alive.
I really hope spellcrafting is not dead. It's something I have wanted since ESO first started. However, if they do it.. I want the whole thing as discussed 53 minutes into the 2014 QuakeCon video. I don't want a skimmed down version of what "could have been". If they do it.. it needs to be what Konkle would have made it or better.. if that's possible.

all those people up there in that panel do not work for zos at all anymore. Nick and Paul were fired and ESO was a far better game with them , this video is 2 years old . you will not see spellcrafting i dont think and if you do it will be nothing like nicks vision . with the departure of the original team ESO has gone into this shallow development process of half finished ideas with very little depth in design or impact on the game.

Those are arenas. ARENA. Do you even play eso?
They are also considered Trials.
Says so right when you start the instance and in the in-game Leaderboard screen.
Do you even play ESO?

It is a historical fact that Nick and Paul were fired? That is interesting.
It is a fact that a lot of the top brass involved with ESO launch have moved on. Not all of them, though.
None of this means that Spell Crafting is never going to see the light of day.

both Nick and Paul no longer work for ZOS that is a fact. Paul quit (rumored Matt did not agree with his vision , fact they had very different visions for ESO )
I'll leave Brittany alone don't worry. and those design blunders..... those were Firor lol those were his concepts those were his single player online concepts that did not work. as for crafting being redesigned no that is not true, i was in closed beta it was not redesigned it was reworked things added and things removed largely because they had to remove jewelry crafting. Veteran ranks were a band-aid to artificially extend the life of an ultra casual leveling system and yes it was bad design but the champion system is far worse. and as far as the Disastrous state, you must not play many launch MMO's because this was a smooth one. honestly, ESO was a great game when IC dlc launched it was the post-2015 it started to eat Poo sandwiches. And 100 percent fact Paul quit in 2015 Nick was let go at same time.I prefer a traditional MMO design this is true. I dont like spoon fed content that is handed to you in a happy meal happy meal. you can level 1 through 50 with light attacks and one ability on your bar. I dont like dungeons that can be done just using light and heavy attacks and no roles. granted these are pros making these videos but it should not be accomplishable, its poor design for longevity.Wifeaggro13 wrote: »Ahnastashia wrote: »lordrichter wrote: »All the employees that loved spellcrafting and I think also dyn. Nick and Paul weren't fired as far as we know. Asserting something like this without evidence already suggests you don't care as much about facts as you profess to do.
That the game was better back then is dubious, aside from having a different payment model (which I prefered). Under Paul's direction, and I don't want to crap on the guy, the game shipped in a disastrous state in many aspects. A few months before release they scrapped and had to redesign the whole crafting system, which doesn't exactly show a great direction or leadership. Not to mention they spent about 2 years, until One Tamriel, to fix the initial design blunders that drove a lot of people away at release (linear questing in an Elder Scrolls game, the whole Veteran Rank debacle, etc). So much for half-finished ideas.
Oh, and before you say that the Champion System is worse than what we had before: The lead designer on that was Maria Aliprando, who's not with ZOS anymore either.
Can't say anything bad about Nick though, he was great.
