    Didn't Justice system teach you something?..The same thing happened with a huge part of Justice system so many people waited for. They ended up releasing only the simplest part, excluding all the PvP aspects and raids on dens. Hard to believe that they actually were considering this!

    Of course, we'll have more details on all the features and content in both DLC Game Packs as we get a bit closer to their launch dates. :)
    Today we are a bit closer...

    Nice try. ;)

    Ty. Did it work?

    Maybe a one-word hint?

    Yeah, you are likely to get "the" from her.

    Spellcrafting was pet project of Konkle. He left ZOS about...2 years ago? Or even more?
    Since then we heard no news about spellcrafting, except for tweets that developers want to add spellcrafting at some point. Also during one of episodes of ESO live they said "spellcrafting is on backburner".

    Sounds more like dead, rather than alive.

    I really hope spellcrafting is not dead. It's something I have wanted since ESO first started. However, if they do it.. I want the whole thing as discussed 53 minutes into the 2014 QuakeCon video. I don't want a skimmed down version of what "could have been". If they do it.. it needs to be what Konkle would have made it or better.. if that's possible.

    Spellcrafting discussed at length 53 minutes into the video

    all those people up there in that panel do not work for zos at all anymore. Nick and Paul were fired and ESO was a far better game with them , this video is 2 years old . you will not see spellcrafting i dont think and if you do it will be nothing like nicks vision . with the departure of the original team ESO has gone into this shallow development process of half finished ideas with very little depth in design or impact on the game.

    Opinions Opinions.

    its not opinions its historical fact . the only thing stated here that is opinion is i dont think it will ever be added to game. and seeing how it has not been worked on since 2014..... make your own logical conclusions

    Better be not a 12 man trial, we have enough of those, 1, 2, or 4 please

    1 = solo instance..
    2 = never been.
    4 = dungeon

    ZoS reserves the word "trial" for 12 man content.
    Not true at all. Dragonstar and Maelstrom are both considered a trial in the game. I do enjoy doing the Dragonstar Dungeons and the Maelstrom Solo Instance

    Those are arenas. ARENA. Do you even play eso?

    They are also considered Trials.

    Says so right when you start the instance and in the in-game Leaderboard screen.

    Do you even play ESO?

    let me help jumpstart your brain.

    Trials = kill bosses, run thru a tunnel or w/e, score some drops, get jewelry in the end.

    Arena = you stand in 1 spot, kill waves of adds, do this big thing in the end, loot chests, and get some weapon that alters your skill-line abilities.

    How are they the *** same?

    It is a historical fact that Nick and Paul were fired? That is interesting.

    It is a fact that a lot of the top brass involved with ESO launch have moved on. Not all of them, though.

    None of this means that Spell Crafting is never going to see the light of day.

    both Nick and Paul no longer work for ZOS that is a fact. Paul quit (rumored Matt did not agree with his vision , fact they had very different visions for ESO ) Sorry Lord i am offending your love for the game .

    Nick and Paul weren't fired as far as we know. Asserting something like this without evidence already suggests you don't care as much about facts as you profess to do.
    That the game was better back then is dubious, aside from having a different payment model (which I prefered). Under Paul's direction, and I don't want to crap on the guy, the game shipped in a disastrous state in many aspects. A few months before release they scrapped and had to redesign the whole crafting system, which doesn't exactly show a great direction or leadership. Not to mention they spent about 2 years, until One Tamriel, to fix the initial design blunders that drove a lot of people away at release (linear questing in an Elder Scrolls game, the whole Veteran Rank debacle, etc). So much for half-finished ideas.
    Oh, and before you say that the Champion System is worse than what we had before: The lead designer on that was Maria Aliprando, who's not with ZOS anymore either.
    Can't say anything bad about Nick though, he was great.
    Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
    Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

    I know many people have left ZOS, and even know some names. It does not bother me that this happens because I really don't think that a game should be a singular vision of one person. Yes, this often happens. It really needs to be a team effort. People do move around from company to company in the gaming industry, so if the "visionary" leaves and there is no one else on the team that can step in, things can go south pretty quick.

    Whether Spell Crafting makes a return is more dependent upon the current members of the studio than who left the studio. Yes, ideas can die when someone leaves, but there is also some amount of continuity. They don't have to "lie" about it and say things like "we are thinking about it". That they are saying things like that indicates that it is not dead, or was not dead at the time it was said.

    And, like I said, I hope this spell crafting never sees the light of day. It would have been great to have in the game at launch, but I see nothing good coming from it, now.

    I'll leave Brittany alone don't worry. and those design blunders..... those were Firor lol those were his concepts those were his single player online concepts that did not work. as for crafting being redesigned no that is not true, i was in closed beta it was not redesigned it was reworked things added and things removed largely because they had to remove jewelry crafting. Veteran ranks were a band-aid to artificially extend the life of an ultra casual leveling system and yes it was bad design but the champion system is far worse. and as far as the Disastrous state, you must not play many launch MMO's because this was a smooth one. honestly, ESO was a great game when IC dlc launched it was the post-2015 it started to eat Poo sandwiches. And 100 percent fact Paul quit in 2015 Nick was let go at same time.I prefer a traditional MMO design this is true. I dont like spoon fed content that is handed to you in a happy meal happy meal. you can level 1 through 50 with light attacks and one ability on your bar. I dont like dungeons that can be done just using light and heavy attacks and no roles. granted these are pros making these videos but it should not be accomplishable, its poor design for longevity.

    Meh. Every time I try to run a trial, it takes ages to form.

    Twice now, sat there for about an hour getting the right people there.

    "Oh, sorry bro. My buddy YoloBlunts420 just came online."

    More often than not it takes longer to form a trials group than to run an actual trial... and this is with being in multiple trials guilds. FellsBadMan
