I find that I rarely have to put people on my ignore list, but there are those from time to time. I also go through and clear it out from time to time.

There's a lot of people that deserve the block on Xbox. Sometimes I feel like I'm dealing with a teenager jacked up on cheap energy drinks that draws self worth from the game.

A lot of the vocabulary over voice chat is also cringe worthy. Not in a nerdy way either because I can stand that. It's hard to describe but if you're on xbox one you probably know what I'm talking about.. unless you're one em. Lol.

The report button has been great for getting rid of racists, sexists, and scammers so that I don't need to gum up my ignore list. I only recently ignored someone, and only after weeks of endurance, because they just will NOT shut up in PvP. They don't really say anything reportable (as far as memory serves/I can keep up with their constant rambling), but it's just the sheer volume of nonsense and self-aggrandizement. I couldn't take it. :`-(

That's what I used to for a long time actually. Mostly because I felt too guilty. Now that guilt, wherever it sprang from, has been drying up mostly. Still there but in trickles only. So much better without stuff I don't want to see or hear.

The list needs an increase in the number of players you can add to the list.

I have a high threshold for /ignore and an extremely high threshold for /report.

Mind you, that doesn't mean zone chat isn't full of truly detestable people saying truly detestable things. I just prefer to let them dig their own graves. The community often seems to find awfulness entertaining, though, so it's often not that successful a tactic.

I've never placed anyone on ignore in any game I've ever played or any forum I've ever posted on. I have thick skin and don't mind putting people in their place.

None. I don't care how "offensive" one's choice of words is. To ignore them is to close off interaction. If you are overly sensitive and ignore everyone, why not play a single player game? This is a MMO. It brings different people with differing views and perspectives. Get over it.

Actually you would fit on 3rd option - Low Threshold.

I would have to disagree with you there.

People who purposely flood chat with excessive spam can make it impossible to communicate with others, or to look for groups or trade offers you might be interested in.

So I would put excessive spamming at the very top of the threshold when it comes to offenses worthy of an ignore.

I would only mute someone for spamming excessively. To the point where it becomes hard to read or parse the chat at all. I simply report people who do things that I think would be breaking the TOS (very rare), and leave the chat free-range besides the spam. I think my block list has like one person on it, and they've probably been on there long enough to be removed.

Low but also very high.

I won't ignore somebody for profanity, cursing, being rude, being dumb - any of that.

I have one single condition for ignores and that's people who spam the chat with overprices, low quality items and continue to bring the chat HUD up constantly - especially when you can see the same message every time, indicating they aren't even making sales. It just gets annoying so fast. I like the chat because it can sometimes be useful... but it would be nice if they did like Warframe and made a separate tab for traders so they could spam there to their hearts content.
