Wardens in PVP lol

For any of the wardens out there, how are you finding PVP? In particular when in a 1v1 situation?

I'm assuming wardens can be a bit useful in a group but every single warden I've come up against got killed since release. I'm not here to boast at all there are many players better than me, I'm just making the point that their damage output seems very low and they're survivability is quite crap too tbh.

If you play one or have played, what do you think?
They seem to be decent at everything but no speciality at all (damage, heal, tank)
Every other class got nerfed for them and they're still trash tbh.

Not sure how many have gotten 140+ skill points, farmed Lorebooks, and grinded Undaunted already but I've ran into a few tanky/bursty builds.

Follow the stream if you like the stream. Marry the stream if you love the stream.

Sub assault into wrecking blow dawnbreaker/execute with a couple poison injection ticks...yep, soon they will come along.

Yeah, I think you are experiencing a bunch of baby Wardens that dont have their crap together. I havent played stam, but I do have magic warden leveled. Their sustained DPS is garbage, but they do have some burst and some range when they need it.

They also have quite an impressive toolkit with easy access to:
Major mending, major ward/resolve, Major/minor protection, Major expedition, major endurance, major sorcery/brutality, minor Berserk, minor intellect/endurance, Major Prophecy/Savagery, life steal, a quasi class shield, strong self heals, and I am sure I am missing a few others.

I am not sure any other class has that many major/minor buffs in their arsenal.

I've been rocking out Battlegrounds on my stam warden.

Tanky burst with proc sets for the win.

    So yeah. I like it.

I have Stam Warden and in the process of lvling a Mag Warden. I think Stam Warden will fare much better than a Mag Warden in strictly 1v1 situations, but even then I don't really see either Wardens doing too well vs my other chars for example. I think both would more or less be much better in mass pvp than 1v1, which is what I prefer and reason for developing both Wardens.

It's all cuz it's a new class, so it takes time getting used to.

I'm actually having a lot of fun with my Warden. Mostly kept to duels, both with and without the bear, and I feel that the Warden is tough as nails while still being able to dish out a lot of damage.

I have seen the Stam Warden burst builds in pvp, they are definitely a thing but i don't think they are anywhere near some of the other burst builds. A bit early to say though.

I've literally melted every warden i've seen up to now.

The only thing thats noticeable is when theres a zerg on me and wardens are spamming there balanced undodgable attack for 4-6k
    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

Shrug...hard counter to the "Perma-dodgers." Not seeing an issue.

You should considering most skills go through dodge anyway, a main spamable with a higher tooltip than surprise attack shouldn't be one of them.

Also 'perma' dodger this isn't 1.6 if you dodge 3 times its like half your stamina gone.

wait until the deep fisure/cliff racer, LA-oblivion enchant/Soul Assault starts to catch on.

Stam Warden is a thing in my opinion; even without proc sets with a right-done burst combo most player die within seconds. Just because they don´t know how to counter it yet....

I know while pvp'ing trying to level my Templar I was being killed by stacked cliff racers lol

I have a stam warden that I occasionally PvP with. With the right set up, she is pretty hard to kill 1vXX. Usually takes her being stacked with rooting and destroyed ulti's to take her down.

People are still learning the class and figuring out the meta for it, but it has all the tools to be extremely powerful in PvP.

I'll speak to stamina warden as that is what Im working on. It has incredible burst, but also really neat synergies for healing and sustain. Look into, for example, green lotus and then the passives and consider how it could be used by a stamina warden to incredible affect. Another thing that makes warden extremely powerful is that it has a native stam heal and also a source of major brutality. As such, that unlocks some really cool builds that would not be viable on other classes which are reliant on rally. This combined with the litany of buffs it has access to makes it a very versatile class.

Just as a quick example, if you ran a dual wield/bow stam warden, its possible to have 6 layered heals (vigor, soothing spores, blood craze, blood thirst, draining shot, green lotus) while maintaining many dps options, which can potentially be extremely powerful. Basically constant healing...

Personally I think I'm going to run sword and board with either a 2h or bow, and I'm quite excited to see it pan out.

That's pretty much what I do in dungeons. Biggest thing about my warden is sustain. I always have enough resource to dps, heal and buff. Heavy attack? No thanks.
