Perfect Roe Limited to 4 per 20-24 hours?

Over the past few weeks i've been all day fishing 16+ hours a day, and in that time I've never clocked more then 4 roe per day, 20-24 hours real time.

And with that Almost every day around 9-10am i'll skin 40-60 fish and get 3 roe, Every DAY! then the 4th could take a few hours or all day to get.

Once i got the 4th tho, I'll never get another roe till the 24 hours is up and the new day starts.

Somethings fishy with the RNG, If and i feel a really big IF the rng is even used for perfect roe, I have a hunch your account is limited to 4 per day.

Anyone have evidence to suggest otherwise?

Proof, Other then someone just claiming to have farmed 30 roe in 1 day..And Proof all the fish were harvested THAT day, not stock pile fish for a week then go on a filet spree, Sure that way you may be able to exceed the 4 per day, But it would prolly still add up to 4 per day for all the fish fileted. *Does that make sense?*

If you are getting 3 roes with 40-60 fish, then you are doing realllly well with the RNG.

The rate is about 1 per 75-100 fish.

I don't have any proof for you but I have no reason to lie. Yesterday I filleted around 270 fish (all caught in the few hours before) and got 5 perfect roe. So, it is not a '4 a day' limit.

But thats the thing, Its only once a day that happens, EVERDAY tho lol Without fail.. But limited to 4 per day.. So Sure its great to get them out of the way in a few casts, But if im limited to 4 in a day well then i've waysted ALOT of time fishing in spots i never needed to bother with..

There was one time a while back that I got 7 for a small amount of fish. But that is a really, really rare occurance and it has never happened again.

I might add that there was also a time that I filleted over 600 fish and got NO perfect roe. It really is a crapshoot!

I completed 2 full areas for special fish over a couple of days last week netting about 500-600 fish. Gutted them all in one session and didn't get a single roe, I had to check online that they still were acquired that way as I couldn't believe my bad rng luck.

I think you're going to need to test with a better sample size to be honest.

If someone really wanted to test this they would ideally want to run a sample of 500-1,000 fish per day and record their numbers.

The smaller the sample size (like yours) is simply going to give less roe over all, I doubt there is a hard limit on this but to test it you're going to need more fish. Why not save up 1k and do them all in one day (there is an add-on to auto-fillet if you on PC) and see if you break numbers you've seen already.

Generally you can't call something as a mechanic without presenting a larger pool of data and considering all the variables.

OUCH Thats rough, but i Have had days where i didn't get any for 8 hours+ logged out for a few hours came back and bam 2 of them in a row..

Interesting yes.

Whatever you find it to be of course they could just change it again and never tell us.

Khajiit she did once get 12 roe in a day but that was during the most wonderful fishing bug week where you could get double fish in Wrothgar.

That was an incredible week indeed. Happy memories.

There is some RNG seeding in this game that causes some funny things to happen some times. This was most noticed with IC vaults back in the day.

Well Leave it to me to put my foot in my mouth lol, I just hit 5 for the day, So Lets try for 6! I'm gonna keep hoping zones and see if that has anything to do with the drop rate.

I'll try for 3 more in vvardenfell and move on to craglorn nex

For a cpl weeks i did, Master Angler! and yes It was the most boring thing ever, But i watched movies, listened to music did other stuff while fishing so it wasn't life draining lol

Some people like fishing. Aside from in-game fishing, I have been fishing a total of once in my life....it was the most boring experience of my life. In game I have probably fished fewer than 50 times...I just cant be bothered.

With the low chance it would. It make sense to also place a max daily limit for perfect roe.

You'll need data to compare that too though.
It's easy to see a trend with what you're doing when you don't compare it to any other data.

Someone once told me the Dolmen pinion trick was real because they got four bosses in a row with it.
They didn't do a comparative test though, just took the one way they tried and saw data which reinforced their desire so it was fact.

This is why people should always learn how scientific theory works and why scientists are generally held to be "correct" VS others.

I've filleted thousands of fish and got like 20+ in the same day

(fish saved from previous days so Idk if that counts to your theory or what)

Ended up with thousands of fish when I went for all the achievements not long ago. Can promise you the rate is 1%, no limits or modifiers of any kind.

Well, the drop rate isn't that low considering how easy it is to obtain fish. Combined with the fact that the uses of perfect roe is simply for xp potions and a few food items, it doesn't have high demand.

They are still like 12-15k each on PC NA iirc.

Got my Master Angler a few weeks ago so still have a ton of fish and decided to test this. I just got 6 roe in about 600 fish... It's uploading to youtube now, for proof. Should be ready in about 20 minutes, will post when it is.

I generally get a drop rate between 1 and 2%, though I did manage to fillet 600 fish in a row and get nada. The random number gods were angry at me that day.
