Will new functions ever come to housing?

I remember when housing first dropped and all you could do was sit in chairs and people where complaining there nothing to do in your home. So ZoS said they where gonna look into ways to make housing more useful that was some time ago is this still being worked on? I can't imagine it takes months on months to add simple storage or something to housing? You have released tons of new furniture and houses for sale to make yourself money how about giving us a reason to buy them?

I agree with all those points.
We need to give people more reasons to buy houses.
    • Add more functionality to housing
    • Add storage options ( for storing armour sets etc)
    • Maybe even a way shine to port out from
    • Bank assistance who'll also let you access guild stores.

Considering they launched "housing" with the absolute bare minimum...I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them to expand on it :/

The best thing that they could add, IMO, is accepting and turning in writs. This would give people a good reason to bother visiting their houses rather than flooding belkarth.

I would love to have a Wayshrine in my castle :D ... and also some box ... I bought an entire castle, all furnitures included, for 15.000 crowns and I cannot afford to have a silly box in it so I can store my gear in it :D True :)) I like your post.

    I wish :(

One of the reasons that I haven't purchased a house or assistants is because of the lack of functionality.

You need, IMO, to be able to port out of the house back to where you were when you ported in but it's all kind of the same type of issue.

    Assistants don't repair armor
    Housing can't store anything
    Costumes are on....or off.

    It's all pretty one dimensional.

I would be MUCH more inclined to purchase items from the cash shop if I could actually DO something with them.

Side note: For Pete's sake can we please have a hide shoulders? (Like the hide helmet)

I wouldn't say with the absolute bare minimum - this game has one of the most flexible housing editors i've seen in an rpg. The bare minimum would have been a skyrim like decoration system where you just buy the packages for the extra rooms with no choices of what's available.

I really like what they've done with the system - although there are some issues I would like to see dealt with (Invisible walls inside houses!).

I'd like to see storage (which should have been present at launch, but now they probably wont do as ESO+ members have extra bank space, so this would reduce the need for ESO+), and i'd like to see some kind of mechanic for making the house seem more alive: animals in outside places, for example, and more dynamic pets/assistants

Please put the Eyevea/EarthForge wayshrines back on the map?

I mean they launched the game bare minimun and expanded on it :P. They mentioned way back that they do plan on adding more to it . They even liked the idea of guild housing.

    - guild bank
    - guild store
    - gear fixing
    - manequins for armor
    - hooks for weapons
    - wayshrine to big houses
    - option for group dueling set by home owner (2vs2, 4vs4 and so on)
    - imperial homes not magically counting as part of cyrodiil so players can actually use assistants...
    - more assistant skins and names to fit them into any racial home design(orc stronghold with a dunmer banker looks just silly)
    - guild houses - owned by guild leader with option for guild members to donate decor, both crafted plus achiv bound, pets and mounts

That would be my wish list to add asap.

Mainly I'm just saying it seems like they said they would look into ways to expand it on eso live just to hush everyone up now here we are months later not a word about it tons of furniture and new homes and I feel people have just forgot that they made this statement and just have done nothing besides give us more stuff to buy.

    - guild houses

If they ever add guild housing it needs to be owned by the guild, not the guild leader. They also need to provide a one-time option to move all the bound crafting tables from existing improvised guild houses into the real thing.
Even on the internet, clear communication is important; it can be the difference between "helping your Uncle Jack off a horse" and "helping your uncle jack off a horse"; the difference between "knowing your s***" and "knowing you're s***".

    I'd like:
    - wall paint
    - ability to add all my toons and set them to do various tasks or emotes
    - Hazards: slaughterfish pools, viper pits, killer scamps, traps, etc
    - friendly fire mode: anyone can hurt anyone
    - a guild store banker
    - a guild store merchant
    - a repair assistant
    - stablehand: with all riding lessons
    - box for turning in writs
    - Writ boards
    Xbox ONE Day One
    Server - Xbox NA
    Internal Storage Only

I wouldn't look for or expect any major changes until the next large update / patch, in August (?) when the next DLC drops. If there are no upgrades at that time, then we've got a right to rattle their cages.

How about option for non-owners to donate items to the home?
Or Instead just have the home have its own "inventory" based upon the item count, that other players with permissions can decorate with other than just moving stuff around?
How about actual "walls", "floors", and "ceiling" types?
    What happened to Doors?
Portals? (that lame fungus-infested castle in vvardenfell has a portal, as did FrostCrag in Oblivion, etc...)
I could go on, but the list should be self-evident.

Simple give x space to normal members and x2 space for amour to eso members+. It's still needed for organization. Just I don't a box to go visit to see what I have of x set would be nice. Besides we have clothes at our real homes, so why does it make sense to go to bank for these? Immmmmmerision breaking :p

Then why fix any or add to any part of game? Let's just go back to day one vanilla launch with your logic. They put it in the game at huge request from the community they could atleast add on to it to make this cash/gold sink more useful.

I personally do not see the need for things that will let us do what we can do in towns. To me that is just a way to make towns seem empty.

Top thing I want is a way to let people have access to all my homes from a drop down menu instead of only being able to visit the primary residence. Each character I play has their own home and would be nice if others could see them. Might even be an incentive for people to purchase more homes?

I would like a guest book type of thing where people who visited my home could comment. Even if there wasn't a comment feature just a log of who visited would be good.

I like the idea of storage. I would even be willing to have to allocate bank space to do it. Would rather just have more space but if ZoS thinks to much space is an issue then...

Armor racks that hold and display one full set of armor that could be used to switch out full sets of gear in one click would be nice.
Not really a function thing but I would like some birds in my trees and maybe a few squirrels and other critters that randomly roam around.

I would like trophies (busts and the like) to be treated just like any other item you place in your home. My main character has a limit of ten trophies she can place. Would be nice if I could remove for instance one apple and put in one more trophy. Of course if they just gave me more space I wouldn't have to remove that apple.

A guild hall is needed. Short of that let a owner of a house set options so others can place furniture from their inventory in the house. It is silly that we have to mail items to our guild leader then he has to go drop them in the house so we can then go and place them. Should also be a way to get furniture left outside a house inside a house if you are a visitor with decorating rights.

And I want to be able to mow my lawn. The tall grass and weeds works for some places but is just shabby looking in others. Also want to be able to nail down the loose boards on the porch in Sleek Creek. Someone could trip on one and go right over the railing. No way my Khajiit is going to want to pay that law suit. Hell they might even land on a spike or in the fire pit and you know that kind of thing can cause a drop in property value.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."

There are a lot of good ideas here even if zos just added storage to houses ide feel that be enough for now I just need more reason to go to mine I got this amazing telvanni tower home all beautifully decorated but unless I feel like just walking around or sitting in different rooms not any reason to go there it saddens me :(

Though the storage would have to be only accessible threw the house like going to your home and open inventory on a box or something

The only real use I have for my house right now is the IC & Eyevea attunable crafting stations. If it wasn't for those, I wouldn't even bother going there. I would like to add a couple of the Mundus stones but they are too darn expensive.
