Can't get used to sustain changes. No sustain = no fun

Optimize your build, the changes make the game more challenging, but fun and keep dps from being jack of all trades. If you're going to have 3 dps sets, you're going to run out of resources, that's how it should be...

To be perfectly honest, I dom't mind the changes. I main a stamplar and was doing 38k solo pre-patch and am now 36k solo amd still working om it.

But I have a couple concerns. Unlimited resources aren't an issue in pve. They're just not. Pve shouldnt be about managing resources (wtf is this crap) it should be about exploration, quests, tactics amd strategy.

Use lfg any random dungeon and prepare to behold how many people are completely worthless as group members because they cant do anythih else but heavy atk. Okay, I'm an endgame player that can figure thismout on my own. These people are not. I didn't thimk it would be this bad after my first impression..

I am neutral about using heavy attacks but, as software developer IRL, I have always seen weaving as (ab)using of a bug / engine limitation and thus I didn't like it.

I still tend to use weaving or LA too often but then 2-3 heavy attacks and mana comes back, even with no mana regen enchants. Yeah, with this lack of min maxing I am not going to get hired in Hodor guild anytime soon and... I don't care. ESO is easy enough to be completed even playing blind and with one hand anyway.

I'm with you on that one, and I agree that it makes the game a bit too easy, especially since you can pretty much constantly keep up 2 bars of skills and dots without much resource worry, even if geared for max dps.

I sustain same as before and do more damage. Life is good.

Then your build last patch was probably lacking in DPS. Nobody came through this unscathed.

While I can't say I was "unscathed" I too only got minorly inconvenienced, and that's a stretch. As for the DPS ... I've never been great at prolonged DPS. I'm good at it but definitely not great. For burst, what really matters in PVP, I'm as good as ever.

My build was always built to use heavy attacks as my predominant regeneration choice. I just got lucky that they shifted the meta to exactly what I always enjoyed doing best. I'll take it as a win.

I think my point still stands. You were by definition not pushing max DPS last patch, so life is prob good for you too. Glad the patch made you happy, but you still took a hit as they directly nerfed HA damage. The less you pulled pre patch, the less you will notice it.

As for burst damage, not really relevant to the discussion.
