✭✭✭✭✭I like it, because...I personally like it, because it would give players more of an initiative to complete quests and other forms of content at hand. @Kodrac I agree. Like the Dromathra Senche mount could've been awarded for completing VMoL. While the skin could've been awarded for completing the HM version of it. Or vice-versa. Or maybe for completing it on normal. While say the Snow Bear (polar bear) mount could've been awarded for completing the Wrothgar main quest line.0 -

It should be rare, like it currently is with costumes. Not, "Oh, thank you for saving my spouse from bandits. Here, have a horse!"... but I can see completing your alliance questline awarding you with an alliance mount.
I was honestly a bit surprised the Dark Brotherhood questline never gave you Shadowmere. I guess she's not around yet.Living vicariously through my characters.

✭✭✭✭✭It doesn't matter, because...We have skins for vMoL and vHoF. Titles for other trials. SotH dungeons also have a skin tied to them. With Morrowind you can get a personality, a costume and two sets of tattoos from quests + a pet and a costume from public dungeons.
Just because WoW gives you mounts doesn't mean ESO has to do the same. There is a lot of cool rewards for completing content. And the way Morrowind was done proves the devs are going in the right direction.

As for normal every day content or 4 man dungeons, no way. Certainly not for merely completing a quest and that would do nothing more that get players to focus on that one quest.Edited by idk on June 15, 2017 2:20PM0 -
Arkvoril✭✭✭I like it, because...Because Stable Merchants only sell horses in all of Tamriel? Thats just silly. I should be able to buy the correct mount depending on what area I am in. We should have access to the normal(ex. Animals) mounts in the game. Keep the flashy ones with awesome skins for the Crown Store so ZOS still make that money.NA/PC

VDoom1✭✭✭✭✭I like it, because...Heck yes! For one as others have said it would give initiative, and also a chance to bring back mounts that have been in crown store. Put up a mount as some final quest reward and many will probably go for that quest, I would.
I also wouldn't mind if the mounts are zone specific. Like say you are in the Rift or Eastmarch, well lets get a bear mount as reward for something there. If your in Stone Falls lets go for a Guar mount there and so on. But the more epic looking mounts with fire or electricity or an undead horse or whatever, they stay in the crown store.We Fight For Cyrodiil.

CROWN CRATES: It doesn't affect gameplay, it's not mandatory, it's cosmetic only. If it helps to support the game and ZOS, I support it! Say YES to crown crates.2 -

It shouldn't be offered as a reward for something easy, but a title like Master Angler, Tamriel Hero, Monster Hunter, etc, should come with a cool mount, at least some of them (or a single mount when you get three major achievements out of a list of 5-10). If it requires a lot of time, or high skill (the major veteran dungeon/raid achievements), there should be a way for the player to brag about it.2 -

Maybe if it did something beneficial. I'd rather not have mounts at all and would be happy just getting my max running speed back. ✭I like it, because...The drive is to have different mounts. I imagine a variety - from the more elaborate mount with some flavour for harder content to a basic mount for a normal quest.
Consider you rescued guar at one point. A week later, 2 levels later, 3 days later - whatever works - you get mail from the guar owner, saying the guars are grown up now and it would be an honour for him to give you one of them ...
In terms of world building and story telling I'd say this is a good idea and goes nicely along with ZOS vision:

Think really hard achievements should reward those mounts that aren't profitable anymore.When the snows fall and the white winds blow,

MadLarkin✭✭✭✭I like it, because...In game rewards always feel more satisfying than buying something out of a cash shop. Games operate under an investment (whether its time played, content completed, etc.) to reward ratio and I feel ESO's is pretty skewed these days.2
