More DDoS attacks?

Started about 4 days ago. works fine most of the day and then randomly get massive ping spikes. i go from 100 to 500-700 ping and any time i put some sort of input or some sort of effects are happening around me it will shoot up to 1-4k ping for like 10 seconds and the drop back down..... then go back up. Lasts for an hour/hour and half on average and then goes back to normal. Also get constant disconnects. Its not from me, my internet works perfectly fine. Sounds extremely similar to the issues back from the March DDoS attacks

I know its not only me because a friend has the same exact issue that happens at the exact same time. He also lives relatively close to where I live so maybe its only affecting certain regions/players?

I had the same behaviour this monday, between 5pm and 7pm EU time.
My normal PR is about 40-60, and had some random spikes up to 4k !
And I had been disconnected too...
During the trial the guild played in the evening (9pm), everything seemed back to normal

(Can't tell for yesterday as I did play only a few minutes)

Since it was after a patch, I blamed it for introducing stability issues ^^

Or maybe it is a localized issue and has nothing to do with DDoS attacks.

Seeing the time-frames its right at the point of day where everyone is done with their daily stuff (chores, work, school etc.) so they will log in, causing massive spikes as everyone comes online at once. Can take the server a few seconds to adapt. Nothing to worry about.

except its not on my end so its not localized. its from their servers. my internet tests out fine on everything except eso. and trust me the way it acts is nothing like "prime time lag". It happens sometimes in the morning, sometimes around midnight... completely random times. lasts for anywhere from 1 hour to 2 hours and I get sporadic ping spikes in the thousands. sometimes 10s of thousands. multiple disconnects and error 200s along with a few other numbers i dont remember. Many people might not experience it (as stated in the forum posts I linked) but that doesnt rule out the option of a DDoS attack. Only reason I say that is because it was happening not too long ago and zos even stated that parts of their servers were getting DDoSd

That's where it's localized.

The lag spikes start for me at Prime Time. When more players are online.

Server?

Are you both on the same ISP?

Different ISP. both NA PC. Idk my best guess is some part of their server is getting hit and its affecting a few small areas

hack is very bad today, lots people unemployed so computer must be ticking to get money, ok so they do little hack here there, and sometime attack server they not know much but maybe actually want? hmm maybe must be some form of protection from this people? Hire maybe some hacker to protect the gate and router? idk very many hacker but maybe they need money too?

it was so bad last night and night before around 11PM PST I had to leave my vet pledge groups as I kept freezing and getting dumped to login screen. It couldn't connect to Z servers at all. But yea 2 nights in a row like clockwork. Nothing else lags except this game and strangely enough while the in game lag-o-meter was showing 999+ resmon was showing 89 Ping to 120 ping to the 3 Z servers it was communicating with. I can't even fathom the reason for that disparity. Rebooting router as well as PC were tried to zero effect. I checked with folks in zone and it seemed very localized with many people having the same issue and many more having no effect at all. Strange stuff.

Also having significantly unplayable lag starting at about 6pm AEST which for you guys is about 4am ET. I can literally play without any problems until around this time and all of a sudden it's a joke. This also happened after the One tamriel update and occurred for a month before it fixed itself.
