There is a floor puzzle which must be solved however the floor keys do not get triggered when stepping on them, ZOS please fix

I had this too (today). I logged/reclogged couple times, waited for everyone else to leave (sometimes things don't trigger/work because too many ppl trying to use it at once, which really sucks when it's quest related), and tried repeated until, after about 45 minutes or so it FINALLY worked and the gate opened. And then I got stuck in the treasure room bug =(

Khajiit initially had trouble with this.

This one believes it may have been other people stepping on the tiles recently and therefore them not triggering correctly for this one.

Was able to get the door to open in the end though.

Last weekend, i completed that quest, acutally all zone quests. Floor tiles are personal or for your group. So someone outside can't trigger your tile. We were in a crowded in room while i completed it, no one bothered my tiles. If you step wrong, go and wait 3 to 4 seconds and start again, it's fixes it. But yesterday they patched server. Maybe that caused bug i don't know.

When I did that quest all the tiles didn't light up but the gate opened. Problem was I couldn't walk through the doorway. It was like there was an invisible wall. So I went back and did the tiles again and they lit up but when I approached the gate, it closed. But then the NPC walked right through the gate with it closed so I tried it and I was able to walk through it , also. It IS a messed up quest and needs some fixing.

Stay for a little longer on the floors.
Thats why quest instances need to be solo ZOS.

Several bugs are present on that quest:

1.- On the room with the tiles, after the gate is opened the NPC must get a skull. However, the wall behind such skull do not disappear. You need to walk through it to get to the next area.

2.- In the next area before reaching the final one (the vaults) the NPC do not follow you at your pace and most of the times get stuck in the starting zone of that area when a mid-boss appear nearly the end of it.

3.- After defeating such mid-boss you need to go back to the NPC and select the second option to make him "move". The problem is that he don't move and make sure you wait at the entrance of the vaults and wait for him to say something about ancient stairs (is useful to have the chat log enabled).

4.- After the quest objective changes to "enter the vault" you wont see the NPC inside that room when you enter it. You need to get out and reenter the vaults using the same vault entrance. Then the NPC will appear and the next quest stage will continue.

5.- If you leave the vault when you are stuck on points 3 or 4 you can't be able to return to the vaults using the exit from where you emerge. Also, if you retrace your steps you get stuck in the room with tiles because the gate will now be blocked with a invisible wall.

Please @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom tell the developers about this quest. Is the only one bugged I have encountered so far, considering I have finished Morrowind on 4 characters at present.
