Should vampires get more skills/passives?

buttclown69
I'm a vampire and I really enjoy being one but it sucks that we only get two skills, of which only one is kinda useful, and an ultimate. I'd just luge to see 2 our 3 Moore skills associated with being a vampire like being able to turn invisible. I'd just like to know what you guys think. Leave a suggestion with your answer.

I actually sort of want the contrary. I want WW/vampire to be more of a RP/cosmetic thing than min-maxing choice.

This way when I see a vampire, I know that's who the character is, not that the player needs extra resource regen or sneak speed.

    This.

Not sure about passives, but adding 3 more skills would be much appreciated.

I think turning invisible should be part of vampire mist form. I want to turn into a bat and dive-bomb enemies like that warden skill.

I agree in theory, though I still think the skills are fine as they are, at least combat wise... a few support skills wouldn't hurt though.

What I would want most for them is some more drawbacks to make ESO vampires (and werewolves for that matter) feel more like "pretending being human" then "character with extra skill line"...

For one, an automatic kill on sight from all guards if you show your true nature in town. Which would include every "citizen" NPC (town vendors and quest givers, but not outlaw refugee vendors) refusing to deal with you in any way if you are found out...

For another, some of the classics...

    - Werewolves
    - I'd like to see affected by the moons, unable to transform on new moon nights, but having increased transformation times during full moon nights, perhaps even with a mandatory transformation during the height of the full moons...
    - And a automatic "hunt worthy prey during full moon" quest that gives a gametime-month "hasn't fed" debuff if not completed...
    - And more lycantropic flavors, at the very least werebears, wereboars, werelions and werecrocodiles... perhaps even weresharks... which might have much harder to find infection locations (could be in DLC territory... look ZOS, extra profit to be made!), and slight differences in skills, perhaps...

    - Vampires...
    - I'd like to see affected by the sun, not crumbling to ash levels, but something, like perhaps all vampy powers costing more and having less effect during daytime.
    - And also having their swim speed reduced, for the whole "cross running water" thing.
    - And have the chance of being found out by the guards depending on their vampirism stage - say, 20% at 1, 40% at 2, 80% at 3 and auto at stage four... with some skill or item to lower their appereance (and thus detection chance) by one stage (meaning at stage one, they can disguise themselves as human, just like count verandis ravenwatch did in the first meeting)
    - And also get some "bottled blood" as well as a "charmed feeding" option (as in, charm a citizen to feed on them, without raising alarm) to better control their vampirism stage... and possibly even the chance to "go frenzy" and auto-attack innocent citizens while being at stage four blood-starved...
    - And possibly even a special "vampires only" sanctuary (they could reuse and expand the one from the initiation quest) where vampires can craft vampy specific gear and buy vampy specifiy stuff, and feed on willing (well, charmed) donors, chat with the other vampires, compare their tales of vampy woe, swap poems or whatever...

    But hey, that's me.

The only reason WWs get 5 skills is those are the only skills they can use as a WW. They are also required to use the WW ultimate to become WW.

Since vamps are always vamps and they can use any skill while a vamp they do not need more skills. Vamps can also use any ult they choose.

This is true, but skills vampires have could be utility ones, not op af tier. For example, I cant see why is a skill such as Equilibrium in a mage's guild tree, it screams Vampire to me. Vampires could have a skill that stun all health/ magicka/stamina regen for few seconds while rapidly regenerating one of these, depending on morph. For example, unmorphed skill gives +500 hp regen, while other resources are stunned. One morph regenerates stamina, other magicka. 5/6/7/8 seconds duration, if stage 4 and in sneak, gain x2 regen multiplier. Another skill could be that teleport we got on ulti, one morph is healing vampire for 2k hp, other is damaging target for 2k. And bat swarm should have another morph - healing allies in that aoe for 1k hp per second, excluding the vampire caster. Should be fun having vampiric healers, lol.

No more passives, they are already really strong.
But a 50% fire weakness instead of 25%, more fighter guild's skills (and a good upgrade to the damage-against-undead passive) including magic skills, and some new cool vampire skills (a gap closer, a necromantic spell…) would be good.

I want the vampire to be a double edged sword. Actually, one of the edge is blunted, and the second is nearly only passive.

They mainly need more active abilities I say. Fill out the skill line, give it a full list of 5 actives and one ultimate.

    I want 1 of 3 things

    1. I want wings ( fly like a bat )
    2. I want to say I am here to suck your blood when I change people
    3. And 3 I want bigger fangs

But in all seriousness the 1 thing I see vampires missing is a speed boost of some sort everything I see fits except being of normal pace, maybe a skill that you activate for a buff, granting major expedition (30% speed) for 20 sec also morph to either grant minor brutality (8% damage) or the 10% stam/magika recovery can't think of that buff, but that's all I think we need is a speed boost of some sort

They need more lifesteal abilities. I mean, come on, vampires and lifesteal go along like water and being wet! How there is no in kit application of the lifesteal buff is beyond me.

Vampires need a new passive for hiding the skin. I've been pvping for two years as a vampire now, I'm tired of the non-normal skins. I want to see my characters the way they were created, not with Mazzatun skin or some sickly skin.

I'd be fine with just 1 skill, and that skill could be summoning an undead creature to attack enemies, a la the cliff racer skill or the scorch skill for wardens but a death hound or small gargoyle, or it could be sending bats as a dot, causing disease dmg and draining the enemies' magic and health or something cool like that

I just want them to fix the Life Drain skill.

Ever since ZOS ignorantly changed it from healing a set amount to healing a percentage, that whole Skill has been beyond useless... Now, the Bat Swarm Ulti is the only Skill that has any kind of real use for Vampires, and that's a *** Ultimate. Mist Form? Crap. Life Drain? Crap.

    We're Vampires.

We're supposed to drain the life out of our victims.

But ZOS weakened it to the point that all it does is *** off the victim... Wholly useless.

not sure about more passives but 3 more active skills would rock sauce
edit: and possibly make it so becoming a vampire lord(gaining lycanthropy if already a vampire aka vampire dominate hybrid) would be its own skill line and that if you become a vampire lord(via hircine's gift being the second quest you do) the vampire skill line could be replaced with vampire lord
and also possibly make it so becoming a werewolf lord(gaining vampirism if already a werewolf aka werewolf dominate hyrbrid) would be its own skill line and that if you become a werewolf lord(via scion of the blood matron being the second quest you do) the werewolf skill line could be replaced with werewolf lord and it would cost double to cure the hybrid forms and you can still gain the opposite hybrid form by curing yourself first of the hybrid skill line and getting both again in the opposite order to get the form of your choosing. feel free to make changes to my idea(which you don't have to but can if you want and id love it) with your own ideas as it will probably improve from your changes/additions that you make on my idea when you make a post(which will most likely be better than my post) i wont be editing this post so the posts will effectively be in your guys' hands. hope my comment helps
