I have ESO plus why does it still charge me for Morrowind?

Is this a bug on the website or something? When I go in game I can't access it either, it still says I have to purchase it?

I have ESO plus so why am I not able to access the DLC?

It's not listed as a DLC. It's listed as a "Chapter."

If you want access, you'll have to purchase it separately.

    Chapters: not free with ESO+

    DLC: Free with ESO+

We are at the mercy of which name ZOS chooses to describe the new content.

Because it's not a DLC. It is an expansion and therefore not cover by plus membership nor is it purchasable with in-game gold.

Morrowind is labelled as a new Chapter and must be purchased. ESO+ membership does not entitle you to the product. It was announced many months ago and has been all over the boards since.

Tons of threads on whether it should be a DLC and covered by an ESO+ subscription but I am not interested in having that discussion again.

It's the way the game is sold now, might never be free. Maybe when the next chapter comes, previous chapters might be included, but then again at that point you'll have to buy the new one to get the old one.

Probably not going to happen. More likely it will be bundled with next years chapter and you will get access to, New Chapter, Morrowind, and Base game.

Well, if they do something like "Annals" and those are bundles of Chapters, it should be possible to get it with other Chapters at a discount. A few years from now?

But, to be more clear. It is not a Chapter when ZOS decides it is a Chapter. Nothing so unpredictable. We get a Chapter once per year, and ESO Plus/Crown Store DLC three times per year. Or so the plan goes. While it could be less than that, it should never be more than that.

Cause Morrowind is an expansion and everyone has to pay for it whether you have ESO+ or not cause Morrowind is Not a DLC.

But it's not an expansion. It literally doesn't expand anything from the existing game.

There's a new class which requires that you create a brand new character. (And gives no extra slot)

New areas outside of the existing areas
    New trial in Morrowind
    New Battleground in Morrowind
New story not linked to the existing story.
    ...

    What was expanded upon?

Expanding the existing game only doesn't really make sense in terms of MMO expansions. They traditionally add more zones, classes, game modes, and stories.

@Rhoric From what I remember, they don't call it an expansion because that term implies things that the Chapter does not deliver. It does not build upon the main story. It does not bump the max character level. It is not as large as a typical expansion. You are free to call it an expansion, just like there are people who call it a DLC.

Me? I call it a new version of the game because they bolted on a new introduction story in front of the existing one.

@Valn probably be a very long wait. If your wanting to play it in the next couple years might just want to wait for a price drop/sale in a few months. Otherwise give up on playing the bulk of added content since this chapter once a year will have most of what's added.

But the 2 DLCs each you still come with ESO+.
