Yep but this time they are making it work so they'll have to approve of every single mod before it can even be given that privilege. Also didn't they say that through "Creation Club" that Bethesda will be making content for Skyrim again?
That was pretty terrible not gonna lie.
Disappointing. Only thing remotely interesting to me was the Fallout/Skyrim VR stuff, and they didn't really address how they were going to handle VR movement in those games (though they did show "teleporting" in the first game they showed). Movement is the really tricky part in VR games (and what can make you sick if it's not done right).

sorry bethesda, this was the worst of all presentations so far and the others were bad too...the e3 this year is just in one word "meh"
I agree with the Bethesda presentation. As far as all of E3, I'd say Microsoft had a very strong show this year with the Xbox One X and the titles shown.
well strong in comparison...they had to go all out but i wasn't floored or anything... and bethesda approaching the paid mods again...i don't know how i feel about that...as a pc player not too good...maybe good for consoles i don't know
Am i the only one who thinks the xbox one x name wasnt well thought out, its literally the xox or hugs and kisses console now

Honestly, as a modder? Pretty good.
I fully expect to get set on fire over this, but, here's the thing: As a modder, there is no way to make a living at this.I know, I know, we're, "supposed to do this because we love it." Yeah, that's great. Unfortunately I can't pay my rent with, "love of the hobby."
I know, I know, I can just, "put up a Patreon..." except, you know, I can't. Because, I'm not allowed to produce content commercially with the tools provided. Does Patreon transform the threshold of my mods into a commercial product? I don't know. I certainly don't have the money to fight Bethesda's lawyers if they come knocking. And, we're talking about a company that protects it's IPs very aggressively. So, I really don't want to find out the hard way when I get put on the street by them.
More than that, Patreon is a wonderful system. If you get lucky, and get people's attention with it. But, most people simply don't contribute. When it comes to the community, it's a wonderful way to kick the can down the road and say, "well, I won't, but I'm sure someone will give this person some cash for their work." Personal experience? No, they really won't. Not for 98% of the community.
Now, it would be dishonest of me to say that that everyone behaved in an ethical way when this was introduced. We had a paid mod that used other people's work. We had one where they inserted an ad for the paid version into the free version of the mod.
At the same time, if you want to provide the resources to modders to produce professional quality content, this is what it's going to take. And the community's collective tantrum over paid mods sent a very clear message to us. Or at least to me, and some of the other modders I've interacted with. They told us, "we love you work, we think it's absolutely vital to the games being enjoyable, but if you think you should be able to actually eat, you're just greedy." Which, seriously put me off of the Nexus's mod consuming community.
I know, Bethesda gets a cut. Hilariously, the actual cut was stupidly good for the modders. If you want to publish a book, you would not be able to get a royalty rate nearly that good, without having to market your product from scratch via self-publishing. But, no, the idea that modders, even just some modders, produce quality work worth actually paying them for... no, that was just, "greed."
Ugh.

That's great and all, but do you know why I downloaded mods? Because it added minor changes to a game that I had already put 800 hours into. So I could maybe put a few more dozen hours in because it made it a bit different, and because it was free. Will I do that with paid mods. Definitely not. They are changing something that has basically been a hobby, hell a tradition, that has been going on for 15 years into a business. Sure it may be great for people that want to make a living at it, but what about the many people that just did it as a hobby just because they loved modding. Honestly, I never thought mods were vital to the game. It was just something cool to add a bit more flavor, and although I've donated to mod sites(Nexus). I only did it because it was free. They are making it very clear that "for the love of the game" is now "for the love of the money" and that is disappointing.
Latest DLC pictures released proving my point again.
Look at the detail on this Armor set.
And these Wonderfully sculpted rocks. This is what the rest of the Vanilla game Needs
Look at the realistically proportioned and non-cartoonish architecture!
A remastered Oblivion game, I'd pay for that! If only.
Just gonna leave this article here.

Horns of the Reach is a 2 new Group Dungeons DLC, just like Shadows of the Hist. Also there's a free Game Update to go with it as well.
Clockwork City is a legit story quest DLC advertising 10 hours of gameplay.

I do like the free base game update that has almost nothing free in it.

Was thinking about that. If you are going to say that Battleground updates are not "free" because you paid for Morrowind, keep in mind that none of the updates are "free" because you (should have) paid for ESO, in the first place.
Here's another screenshot. Really liking those antlers.
