Zos any fix on body markings disappearing?

Log in or way shrine warp if you have body tats etc they go away upon arrival I'm destination. Issue been going on since one tam launch Its only the crown tattoos like they just don't wanna stick and end up having to be removed and really equipped to see them again until next loading screen

Same thing happens with jewellery, face markings, head adornments and sometimes hair. We paid for these packs, and they are great when it comes to allowing for variety on a whim, but they really do need debugging.

I had tested a while ago and found this is a local view issue only. If you go to reapply them I bet you have to do it twice before you see them change? Everyone one else sees them as they should be.

Slammer is correct. It does still show up for others, you just can't see them yourself. So you are actually un-equipping them when you try to apply them (even though they show unmarked), that's why it takes two clicks to get it to show.

This is a rather annoying problem considering it is linked to features we've paid for. Past time for it to be fixed IMO.

Its not just body markings, its all forms of appearance items. Hair styles, jewelry, facial accessories, facial hair and face markings they all have a chance to disappear for the user. But as the other say it shows for everyone else but the user even thought they are still technically equipped. Its really fricking annoying.

Yeah it's happening for me, too. Even if it's a local view issue it needs to be fixed. I've put in several bug reports over it but it looks like ZoS hasn't noticed or is really busy with Morrowind.

I posted this in the bug forum and used /bug in-game. The weird thing is that the body and head markings tend to remain in the character selection screen, but not when logging or zoning.

What platform & server are you on?
Does it happen every time you warp to a shrine?
Is it any shrine warp, or just shrine to shrine or non-shrine to shrine?
Does it happen when you enter/leave buildings?

If on PC, do you have any addons that deal with costumes/cosmetics and/or a wardrobe-system to switch armor/weapon sets?

I've never seen this on any of my characters, and I use different hair-styles, tattoo's, etc on all my characters (yes, using crown bought hair, tattoo's, etc). I'm on PC NA - and no, I'm not saying this doesn't happen just cuz I don't see it.

Body markings should be completely re-done because of a simple reason:

They were clearly designed without being tested on different skin complexion. If you for example create a redguard with a dark skin complexion, khajit with a dark fur or an argonian with a dark - green skin - then some body markings simply blend in too good. It would really help if you could "dye" body markings on different colour.

Ps4 and every single warp or log in or any load screen inducing action

Still happening to me PC NA. Facial markings and body markings disappear whenever I wayshrine or go through a loading screen, have to double click them in collections to get them to show again.

Yes, I'll add the recent Scholar animations to this list. The personality it quite buggy at the moment; the book disappears, and you run funny after you disable it, when crafting you don't hold a hammer anymore, etc etc. Hopefully development will do a pass in this area soon and fix them.

Still happening to me as well. Seems to occur when you have body markings enabled at the same time as some of the costumes (in my case, the pirate first mate). I don't have the problem with any other appearance option. I bugged this 6 months back, but never saw movement.

I think it has something to do with those premium personalities. I never had this issue before buying the drunk personality and the issue happened the very first time i used a wayshrine. I switched off the personality after a few days and haven't had the issue since. I'm not saying everyone's issue is the same, but there is an issue with personalties and body markings being used in conjunction with one another.

Out of interest, those reporting the issue, do you have an active premium personality? If you do, switch it off and see how it goes. If the issue disappears, reactivate the personality and see if the issue occurs once again. It's how i knew that was the issue I was encountering.

@Wolfman_Jack I have the pirate costume and the dominion body markings on and never had an issue with those two.

Someone on another thread found the root cause of the issue - Having more than 5 appearance customization options selected (including the "no customization" options like "No hair") will cause it to drop one on zone change. I tested this, and as soon as I dropped my customizations to to 5 total the problem went away. Not a fix, but at least we can work around it. Unfortunately that leaves me with horrible looking hair lol.

Wow. This issue is still going on. That's truly sad. I noticed it starts when you complete the main story line. At least that's when it started for me on my warden. Didn't happen before i beat Molag bal. Between this and the Dungeon Finder still being broken my patience is wearing very thin.

Lil bit of a thread necro... least the corpse hasnt cooled much.

But yep even as morrowind came out still have missing facial and body markings to this day now even worse as head accesories and my haircuts seem to occasionally not display.

you'll see them until you pass through a door or port to another zone, then they're gone again.

eta: i didn't see @Wolfman_Jack 's post above, i'll check this out, then.
