DK tank sustainablility- how much recovery?

So, we know that if you're in PVP or PVE- this patch has taken a hard hit at sustainability for all classes. Here's the thing: DKs get their resources back from ultimates. What are the target numbers for a DK (stam or mag)? I see posts telling people that they need 1500-2000 recovery for their builds- but DKs don't need that much, right?
Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.
