I play on Xbox and I currently have 858 CP I know of ppl with over 1000 and a few with close to 1500 I understand why they put a cap on CP after the 3rd update I believe and mostly because the game was new on console and there was the gods of pvp "PC Transfers" and I understand that there are always going to be new players coming into the game and would like to enjoy pvp in CP and none CP but why place a cap on CP for PVE?

no.
there has to be a limit. you don't just get a point to spend in a tree, you get a small boost to all three of your attribute pools with each cp point spent.
by having no limit, the divide between the vets and new players would become so wide that newer players would never again be allowed to do end game content because the bar for what the masses deemed 'acceptable' would forever be moving north.
