Sorry but where do you find empty soul gems? I only got full ones.

You can buy empty ones from guild traders for cheaper than you can get them from a mystic. Also, in The Hollow City in Coldharbour where you turn in your crafting writ items there is a basket with up to 3 empty soul gems right beside the crate where you turn in your enchanting glyphs. I'm not sure how long it takes to re-spawn, but it isn't considered stealing from there for some reason. You could just hang out and wait for them to appear.

At max level you can go around craglorn harvesting the most expensive materials. Refine that for gold tempers and sell, also sell any nirncrux you get.

For some people this isn't much but I earnt 600k in a week

Been grinding for a week to get 65k for my house doing loads of dungeons selling EVERYTHING and getting nowhere fast, all the youtube videos are crap and just full of flashy stuff designed to get subs but none actually help.

Suppose what I'd like to know is there anywhere I can go grind for gold at a much quicker rate than doing dungeons or does fast cash not exist?

If you've got access to the single player guild dailies (so, Bolgrul's undaunted quests, the Mages Guild artifact retrieval, and the Fighters Guild dolmen hunting) you can pull down about 10k by running all three. With one major caveat: This only works if you're at CR160 or higher. Below that and your gear will scale down, your rewards will be worth far less, and you won't make that kind of money. Of course, those three quests will give you a lot of CP to play with.

Failing that, clearing all six crafting writs on a CR160+ will net you about 4k. Obviously, if you don't have easy access to materials, or a large stockpile, that's not a great option, but it is an option.

An excerpt from Sunshine Daydream's Guide to Starting Out in ESO:
When all your characters are low level, the best stream of income comes from stealing items and selling them to a fence. It also has a side benefit of raising Legerdemain skill level which influences the quality of items your character finds (source: One Tamriel Patch Notes). The only skill that it makes sense to invest in Legerdemain at this early time is the first point in "Trafficker" which unlocks at Legerdemain 3, nearly doubling how many items you can sell/launder per day will vastly help you progress the skill line faster and make more gold. I find this the most effective method:
    1. Find an area without many guards patrolling nearby and learn the route to the nearest Outlaw Refuge for when you need to flee there in a hurry.
    2. Empty your inventory as much as possible (bank and sell stuff). Also bank most of your gold.
    3. Choose 5-6 types of food/drink ingredients you use (these stack in inventory) and steal/launder only these ingredients with the main goal of progressing Legerdemain and side benefit of being able to make some food/drink; ignore other food/drink ingredients or your inventory will fill before you make any money.
    4. Enter stealth mode by pressing the [CTRL] key.
    5. Search all cabinets, dressers, desks, boxes, barrels, sacks, etc. Steal lockpicks and any and all "Treasure" items (these items sell to a fence for 40 gold, 100 gold, 250 gold, 1500 gold).
    6. You can pickpocket if you like, but you risk bounties and being caught quickly when you're unskilled; I recommend letting this wait until later.
    7. Use (learn) any stolen green/blue recipes & furniture plans you gathered and destroy items with a value of 0 gold. (later, when getting more green/blue items, you also should destroy items worth less than 100 gold).
    8. Head to a Fence in an Outlaw Refuge to launder stolen ingredients and sell Treasures.
    9. Launder any purple furniture plans and recipes then sell in zone chat or at your guild's trader.

Eventually other wealth-building activities will provide greater returns, but when all the gear you pick up is designed for low levels, the above method which yields treasure items valued independently of your character level is recommended.

honestly doing dungeons or dolmen and just selling the stuff is pretty slow money wise imo unless you find some stuff that you can sell for good prices on the ah...so if you do public dungeons and the such do those for which the set pieces are sought after...

the -easy- fastest way i found to make money is on a fully built thief to just find a good spot to do rounds steeling lock boxes....unfortunatly you are limited to like 140 items... and if you only pick up greens and blues and have the +10% prices passive that should yield you anywhere up to 20k and probably takes 60-90 mins

The advantage with public dungeons is
    - you can farm champion points at the same time
    - you can farm gear at the same time (and potentially sell it)
    - you can "farm" slayer and dungeon achievements at the same time

I'm back with another tip - if you can stomach fishing - approx. 1/100 fish yields Perfect Roe - you can sell these for a decent enough price. 10k+ each. It's tedious but can be done even at the lowest of levels if you just grab all the bait around you.

As many others have said you do have several options that may strike your interest or not.

1.) Trading to other players (via zone chat or trade guild), is by far where the most money is at. Admittedly you'll have to do a bit of research on what is "in" and what isn't. However, killing that one world boss and getting a purple item you can vender for 100g may actually be worth 75k or way more depending on what set/trait it is! There is simply nothing quite comparable and how most people have made millions and millions of gold!

2.) Stealing may be a good option as you are still leveling so most likely don't have an army of Alts. You can get quite a lot of coin by finding good thieving routes through towns and knocking over lock boxes and the like. Fighting off daedric incursions for a few items you can sell for 20-70g, or rummaging through some cabinets in some farmers house for a few 100-250g items? You decide.

3.) Grinding for gold. This would be my personal least favorite option, but is still totally valid. There are certain guides out there which have decent spots (I believe the public dungeon Vile Manse was one), that can get you maybe 10k plus an hour or so, however this would be (to me at least) the most soul crushing way to make gold.

4.) Build up an army of crafting Alts. This is more a long term goal for you, but can combine with option 1 quite efficiently or is even fine standalone. Essentially you'll invest initially by saving all the items you get and do NOT vender them. Instead deconstruct them with your main or Alts until your crafting levels are all maxed out. Then you get the hireling passive for them all and do the daily writs. In gold alone you'll get ~3.6k a toon not counting the items. You'll get surveys to help you build a stash of materials for your writs (sometimes you may have to reinvest gold into materials as well, but at this point you'll have plenty). Fairly occasionally you'll get gold tempers you can sell for some serious clink (4-12k depending on type/timing). Now with master writs you can either sell them at ~1.5-2k a voucher payout or do them if you're able and sell the items you can get (ebony motif, crafting station, target dummies; etc).

Pick any/all that interest you and you'll be strutting around with the "Count/Countess" title before you know it because you had nothing better to spend your millions of gold on!

A lot of trading comments but I'm only level 38, would anyone even want my stuff and if they did would I get enough return to make it more worthwhile than selling gear to vendors?

Everything has value too a degree. I sell in three top tear venders and generally make 200-300k a week where it costs me 20k a week in dues.mainly selling mats, food, and random stuff. If you lol nodes like crazy refine the mats and sell everything from it you can make alot.

Just do what I do, farm undaunted plunders, they go for 1k a piece. Very easy and fast.

What I like best is no hassle waiting for RNG of players to buy my stuff from guild trader, its a straight up goto vendor and collect 1k for each undaunted plunder I have.

Its by far the fastest way to make direct gold in game.

This is what undaunted plunder is http://esoitem.uesp.net/itemLink.php?itemid=114427

Very easy to farm them, matter of fact back in days people worried that they would hurt the economy, https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/292632/undaunted-plunder-patch-notes-make-me-worried-for-esos-economy

It did not hurt economy, selling through guild traders is best way to make money, but undaunted plunders gave those who do not use guild traders very good source of income. Which matter of fact bolstered economy because people had more money to spend and people who sell via guild traders were happy campers seeing their items being sold due to undaunted plunders being good source of income for those who don't want to do the extra work and sell items via guild trader.

I easily make in excess of 1 million gold in a normal week, this week was M/wind release on xbox i made over a million on the first day, 700k on day two, now its steadily declined and today i will probs eek out around 300k.

Making big gold is childs play all you need is a magsorc (joke, but it comes in handy for quickly soloing world bosses) a couple of hours set aside and to have some knowledge of gear sets and traits, you need to know what works in pve and what works in pvp and most importantly what price stuff sells for, go to the zones and farm the world bosses, plan out a route where two bosses are close to wayshrines and go and do them.

Sure rng is a factor and i can have a poor run, but it also works the other way just as often, I can do a couple of hours and not get anything of any note and then using a real life example drop three PD reinforced shields in succession (100k each and sell fast). 99.99% of the time i get it where the bosses are synced to spawn within three minutes of me killing one which is ideal as it means i generally have a minute or so waiting for the next spawn and theres no chance of a boss being killed while I'm killing the other one. Public dungeons are ok for making low amounts of gold from vendors and gold from kills, too many chances of epaulets (they dont sell well or when they do they go for peanuts) and gloves, decent weapons (though i did get two sharpened necro infernos inside an hour at Obsidian Scar on one occasion) are relatively rare.

Dolmens are a waste even for jewelry, far better discovering yourself a chest route and running that with treasure hunter passive unlucked in cp tree, plenty of jewels and also the chances of armour and weapons what could be keepers, also never ignore the deadra spawns where there are generally two waves of three deadra that appear, they drop purple jewelry quite often and rarely weapons and armour.

There is a lot of buzz for green pact/plague doctor items. Haven't seen this many people go into it since spinners and spriggans got introduced. I met a person who sold their items for 100k right before morrowind dropped, not a realistic number in my eyes but basically you'll get a lot of gold. Sturdy body pieces, purple jewelry and reinforced/sturdy/infused shields will sell the most.

I'm just selling to venders atm, sure I'll get into trading with real people at some point but now don't even know what's what, just wanna get this house so I can get back to questing and enjoying the freedom again.

There's always that old, good motto: "work better, don't work harder".

Learn the basic of trading in a guild, study what moves the markets and why (new expansion, change of meta...) and you'll make 20k in 20 minutes or less every day. With 1 character. If you step up and know what to do (i.e. start your own trading guild and really know how to manage it well) you can make multiples of that, every day.

Of course games and real life are made for those who think and plan, not for bot-farmers.

Come on friend you can't make money without using the trade system in game. Everything else is going to be a grind because actual players are the only ones who will find value in what you are selling.

    Sure you can.

    I bought a 322k house without a trade guild.
