I've mained a Magblade since right after Xbox launch. My second toon is an Altmer MagSorc I made right before they killed Vet Ranks. I made that sorc because of how powerful sorcs seemed. I use the sorc for farming dungeons, world bosses etc solo. I really don't see how anyone not in denial can actually think MagSorc is not easy mode in general, nevermind about when compared to Magblade. You can say what you want about objectivity and preconceived notions and all, but I taught my kids to farm nodes and monsters for me. Which class do you think they prefer because it's easier for them?

Mag Sorcs are the best PvP spec and have been for over a year now. Don't know why this is still a surprise to people.

It only gets worse every patch as every other class get's nerfed while Sorcs don't

Since mageblade and sorc are the two classes that fit the caster archetype the best, there are naturally many points of comparison.

Sorc is without a doubt more forgiving and easier to play. But mageblade is more refined. The best analogy I could describe it with is by talking about great apes and humans. These two creatures have similar muscular compositions in that the muscle material is similar. But pound for pound, a chimp or gorilla is significantly stronger than a human. Why? Because they have less nerve endings in their muscles which allows more simple neurological impulses to yield more strength from a given amount of muscle. But while this more dense neurological network limits humans to having less brute strength, it also allows us to pull off more complex maneuvers like threading a needle or performing open heart surgery.

It's not a perfect analogy, but I hope you can see my point. Mageblade is a higher skill cap class, and so it takes more effort to get the same amount of output. But this also allows them to pull off more complex combos and battle schemes. A mageblade doesn't have to rely on a singular combo to get all its kills. Ergo...it cannot as easily be countered. It has more potential actions per second than a sorc, and as such it has more potential kills per second than a sorc as well. For these exact reasons, a mageblade will almost always beat a sorc played at an equal level 1v1 because you'll be getting more chances to kill within a given window and apply more consistent pressure. Furthermore, magicka NB has far more versatility by being able to play bomber and Melee specs as well as by being able to utilize heals alongside shields in a way sorc can't.

I guess my overall point is, if you compare the two classes like this you won't be able to recognize the strengths of mageblade because you're letting your bias dictate the logic. So props to @Joy_Division for linking cognitive bias, cus this is a great example of that.
