I usually use it while PvE solo questing/leveling, using random players to speed up my movement teleporting on them.
May be you misunderstood.I usually use it while PvE solo questing/leveling, using random players to speed up my movement teleporting on them.
this, its not really better then just aiming your heals at the target and healing them, and if its a tank or something you generally don't want to be right on top of them XD

yes because that has worked sooo well the last decade or so that something similiar has been in the WoW priest arsenal...

Um, I was a disc priest (and balance druid) and I can't tell you how many times divine pull saved people from death. Plus, it had a lot of tactical use.

I doubt if it's a PVP skill. It reads like providing immediate healing, with the side-effect of pulling you, which may sometimes be quite an adavantage if properly used.
In practice:
1stly it's only useful for a huge space, otherwise teammembers are too close, you may accidently swing to a healthy guy, and missing the window to cure the guy in need.
2ndly, you may have a target of the boss right before swinging away, which makes you a swinging bomb to bring desaster to others.
3rdly, if not careful, you may end up caught in the hot zone of a boss, especially when swinging to save a dying tank.
What do you think? do you use this skill?

Well, I went through all the PTS patch notes (again) and couldn't find anything like that.
Also, I don't know why they'd keep the old text if they decided to intentionally gut the skill like that.

They changed it, it was in some patch notes (cant say which) it stated it no longer targets NPC, but only allied players.

The last I reported it working was April 26th, see post #3 on https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/339619/wardens-and-entering-keeps-with-traitors-and-atronachs
I'm not able to dig up Closed Beta patch notes after that for some reason (seems like they don't exist anymore), but I don't remember reading anything like that in the Closed Beta patch notes.
As for the live server patch notes, I've triple checked: there's no mention of a nerf like that.
But whatever the case, this ridiculous change needs to be reverted asap - it makes the skill literally unusable, a waste of bar space if there's no other player nearby.

Well, while there were some nice uses for it for some streak like movement around the city, it is pretty obvious the skill was designed around usage in player populated content (mostly PVP) and it is working and useful there so... working as intended
Anyway, the change is noted in PTS update 3.0.3

And where can I find those patch notes? They no longer seem to exist on the forums (all closed beta patch notes seem to be gone for some reason).
Edit: silly me, they just moved them all to the normal PTS forum section.. no idea how I missed these notes
Well, yes, while it may be relatively useful in some organized group, it's useless when playing with the usual pugs who keep dying left & right before you can even use the ability.
And it's completely, utterly useless when solo.
I don't see why they'd limit the build diversity in the game by adding such pointless limitations to skills, it just screams of bad game design to me.

On the contrary, its good design when they do interesting skills that work differently. Your complain about it being useless solo is another man complain how some skill is useless in PVP or in pve or in trials... In short, it is completely fine the way it is now, the only thing that I would slightly complain about is it was imho fine before too
