And don't argue that these companies do it to keep them afloat. That is complete B.S.! A majority of these companies have been around for decades and Bethesda is one of them.

Well, you missed his point, you see. They've been around for years, so they can stop charging dirty money and continue to run on good feelings, dragon spit and mage fire! Or, wait... maybe ZOS/Bethesda/$RandomCompany has tenure? That's what their professer in college- the one who enlightened them on the EVILS of capitalism and the anarchofascist patrimarket culture of hateism- had. Yeah, that must be it.
You're about two years too late for the argument in this game, and a few years too late for it in the gaming industry in general.
Also if this game doesn't have micro-transactions then it will be mandatory subs, do you want to pay $15 a month?
Yes and I do sub. Unfortunately there aren't enough ppl left who are willing to sub so it's a necessary evil. One big advantage of subscribe system is that it keeps a lot of asshattery at bay since ppl don't want to pay to be able to be an ***.

They jumping on because it makes more money and people pay it. Just like companies like Microsoft and Adobe. You now pay monthly for Office and Acrobat Standard and Pro. That makes them so much more money than jut a flat up front fee. I've been paying for Office now for I think 3 years. That's 9.99/month (so around 360$) office use to be 299$ and they aren't paying for boxes and shipping product around the globe.
It's not going to go away. So you have a choice. Either accept i, or stop playing games.

I don't think you understand how much money it takes to develop a game anymore.
In the 90s or early 2000s it was maybe up to a million or a little over. Some of these new games are 10s of millions to produce, and no change is simply made over night.
yeah this practice has been going on for years. It be nice to maybe see a few more things earned thru ingame but I still support the store because it does up fund the game.

Even though I pay a sub (for the crowns because I love pretty dresses and the bag and stuff) I would hate it to know that I can only play the game IF I pay, so I guess companies just try their best to survive somehow =/ . Not going to deny though, that Id love to earn some costumes in game or at least have them cheaper.
