I think some people think if ZOS see a topic full of people talking about how many crowns they'd buy they'll put them on sale in order to get all those people to actually spend that money.
The problem is people who spend extra money during a crown sale are probably going to spend it regardless of when the sale is, whereas at times like now when a bunch of new stuff is hitting the crown store and there's an expansion to draw in new and returning players they can get people to buy crowns for full price, in addition to the ones they'll buy during a sale. Depends on the player.
I very rarely encounter bugs that bother me, so to me the game seems fine.
What puts me off spending money on the game more often is usually that stuff in the crown store falls into 3 categories:
1) Stuff I already have.
2) Stuff I don't want.
3) Stuff which costs more than I think it's worth.
For example I was planning to spend £10 or about 2,200 crowns on a house. But the house I want costs 4,300 crown unfurnished.
