Magica sorc has 1 skill that puts it ahead of other classes for open world combat - that´s streak. Imagine a sorc without streak. Nobody would play the class. It´s literally that one skill that is in essence all that makes the sorc class.
In ranged singletarget a magblade outperforms a sorc.
A templar still offers vastly more utility than a sorc does and can go toe to toe with them 1v1 (if a sorc wants to access their utility they loose out on combat effectiveness).
DK is - well dk is simply not good.
Bare in mind i also think that sorc should not be able to stack harness + hardened. Taking away harness stacking alone would ravage the classes playability for a lot of people.
So would you specify - what situation are we looking at? Soloing smallgroup 2 to 4 medium grp 5 to 8 or anything larger?
The only situation i would see sorcs ahead is soloing and smallgrp (with only other sorcs/wardens/nightblades) because they still have mobility.

Streak, of course, is the class-defining skill. But its the toolkit which supplements streak that makes the class "complete". Streak would be pointless on a Templar or DK.
Sorcs benefit every single PvP situation, from solo to zerging. Negate is still the best PvP ultimate.
