Molten Armaments Rework

I have always liked the idea of wielding a weapon imbued with fire. When my dual wield weapons turned on fire thanks by the Dragon knight spell called Molten weapons. I inmediately added it to my Ability bar.

I love the idea of wielding two swords on my character, but the problem is that dual wielding is exclusive for stamina builds, sure it increase a lot the spell power, but their simple attacks, which is what I love of them, neither recover nor scale with magicka, making them useless in battle.

Then I had a great idea. I would be great if the magicka morph of Molten Weapons (Molten Armaments), imbue any physical weapons (bows, two handed weapon...) to deal flame damage instead of physical damage, making the weapons to scale with a magicka setup and also recover magicka instead of stamina while active.

While it looks like a troublesome idea, it would add an excellent inmersion to the game and more build ideas will be created thanks to it.

    Yeah yeah yeah. Take a useful and unique mechanic most stamDKs rely on and turn it into useless RP fluff. Bad idea. Staves are the magicka weapons in this game. Deal with it.

    U could always pretend it does this instead of requesting that they make dks even more useles.

    On "just an idea" -level, I like it. But it would be way OP. Dunmer DK with all passives, swinging swords and SCORCHING BURN FIRE MAGIC MAIM DEAD KILL...sorry. My point was having every skills relying on only magicka and scaling damage with max magicka is kinda bad. There should be something negative to counter it.

    No wait. Actually why would it be OP? We already have (inferno) staves doing this very same thing.

    Were you not hugged enough as a child?

    The OP just wants it to be more viable for Magic Builds to Dual Wield than just for that piddly 5% damage done. It was a legit suggestion.

    Yeah, I wouldn't put it in exactly these terms, but, @Royaji is right, more or less.

    An ability that knocked stamina weapons over to magicka scaling could be really useful for some fringe builds, but I don't think that's the right idea for a DK ability.

    Would be too strong on magicka dk imo. DW weaves with enchants, all those dots and whip. This added damage might put them over the top when sustain is their game.. not burst.

    Do note that Armaments is bugged on live. It only increases your base Heavy by 40% instead of the overall damage of the heavy. So you really only get about a 5-8% damage increase on the heavy in the end.
