I have several but not sure why I bother. They are essentially useless at the moment.

@phermitgb that was a big problem for me too. Well, I was looking for different things but had the same issue - none of the houses were quite right.

I wanted a small house with some outside space in Glenumbra or Stormhaven. When the list of houses was first announced I thought Captain Margaux's Place (small house in Daggerfall) would be perfect. Then I saw it and not only was it only barely bigger than the apartment but it's just so square. It was really hard to imagine anything interesting to do with it.

There are houses which would be perfect - Autumn's Gate, Cyrodilic Jungle House, even Black Vine Villa. But they're all in the wrong locations.

After a lot of experimentation on the PTS and debating with myself I settled on Mournoth Keep. It costs more than I'd wanted to spend (about 6 times more gold than I'd ever had at one time) and is slightly bigger than I really wanted, but the location is almost exactly right, the layout is almost perfect and it looks beautiful (to me anyway).

yah, that seems to be the biggest issue with housing for me - there are basically several factors in each house - size, layout, aesthetic "theme", and world location - a *perfect* house has all 4 that match any person's personal desires - but making houses that can have all 4 options for the dizzying array of personal preferences people might have...*shrug* - honestly, I just count myself lucky that I found a house that has 3 of my 4 *perfect* criteria and call it a win

Two, not counting the free rooms. Sister of Sands (12k g) and Hunding's Palatial (1.3m g). I used Sister of Sands to try out decorating while saving up for Hundings. And now I use it and the three free rooms for extra furniture storage. ;)

Ha, housing. I have to clean up after myself enough if real life, why would I want to do it online?

If you take a black light to my room, the walls show this wonderful mural of samurai and dragons... then you have to wonder, how did I do that.

Honestly, I'm holding out and hoping Zenimax will give us a ship home like the Prowler or the Spearhead.

    I bought two houses -

The first one is Hunding's Palatial Hall and is my primary house where I have all the crafting stations, the skeleton dummy and the banker and merchant. I use it after dungeon runs. While I do have it decorated and put a lot of gold into it, the house is huge and I haven't been able to fully decorate it and probably never will (furniture limit BS).

The second is Moonmirth House because I love the island of Khenarthi's Roost and spend most of my non-adventuring time there. The house is small so I filled it up pretty quickly and I like how it is so it's a great place to hang out every now and then.

A lot of the other houses are easily affordable but I don't like the locations and layouts of the majority of them. There are a couple larger homes I'm interested in but since I didn't even fill my first large home, I have no interest in getting another one yet.

I spent 40k gold on humblemud & regret it coz I only very occasionally use it as a free teleport, when I could have spent that gold on tempers!
I spent just over a million gold on Gardner House purely for this reason and mostly use it as a free teleport to hand in my Master Crafter writs for my DC crafter.

Every zone I complete fishing in I buy a house and fill it with smelly fish stuff, maybe one day I will try to theme each house and see what happens, it is something to do I wish the houses had storage even if it was not connected to the bank, or back pack.

I have a couple of the free apartments. Not really in the monetary capacity to afford one of those bigger houses just yet. Though I could soonly. The lake house in Vvardenfell is fairly nice and sizable. I might get that, but it just depends.

Khajiit has a tavern in Bangkorai and also now Castle Claws on Stros M'Kai. Also the inn room which is mostly empty apart from a sleeping mat and a wine rack.

The tavern was bought with gold and the castle with crowns that khajiit had not spent because there have been no nice hats in the crown store.

The tavern is now perfectly furnished but Castle Claws still requires some work yes. Although many plants were planted over the weekend, a shrine built and a beach hut constructed yes.

I love housing. Aside from the Inn rooms (and St Delyn penthouse in Vvardenfell) I have:

Ebonheart Chateau (originally purchased as a guild hall)
Topal Island (wanted it and offered it to the guild once I got it)
    Autumn's Gate
    Twin Arches
    Humblemud

Plan to get all the houses eventually, I have great fun with them.

Have the free apt in rose inn in daggerfall and the Serenity Falls Estate. Love the estate. But i can't use it full time cause i run so many writs. Have to leave to get them. Finally have all basic crafting stations in it and dummies. Now to start buying the attuned stations.

Let's think. I have the three apartments, plus the Flaming Garret in Mournhold.
Captain Margaux's place in Daggerfall, and that one is nicely furnished as well. So handy, just next to crafting stations and opposite the bank. My main sleeps there, and calls the place Marshall's Manse.
My sorceror found a nice little place near Hallin's Stand. Hot and dry. It doesn't have much furniture, just a bed and some hangings, and enough paintings to make it look a bit like an art gallery. Originally called Twin Arches, it's now Copper's Cottage.
My DK has settled into Black Vine Villa. She's also furnished the place very nicely and grows mushrooms in the garden. She calls the place Althaea's Apartment.
I have bought Moonmirth House which I would like to furnish, as it is a smaller version of my Sleek Creek House which is currently decorated as a guild hall, with attuned crafting stations, target dummies, a bar and a buffet. Renamed Rich Mahoganette.
    Favourite NPC: Wine-For-All

There are some nice houses I would get if I could see a reason to do so. I'm not interested in decorating (enough to go through all the expense and trouble) and I don't care about attuned crafting stations or whatever.

I did see some armor stands in the Scarlet Judge's home, so I assume those will become available in housing at some point. I may get a house then, if I can use it for storage. I am like collecting armor sets and would love to have a place to keep them besides in my alts' inventories. It would be cool to see them. That's one example of functionality that's not p2w that would make me interested in getting a house.

Another, for me would be some sort of gathering, farming, fishing, something to do there.

Until there is some functionality, I'm not interested.

I got Hunding Palatial hall, I think it was good value. Nice beach, good inside. https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/hundings-palatial-hall/

It was definitely worth the time previewing them in game, videos are good, but no substitute.
