    ESO's trade system is garbage.

Maybe some people think there's already too many traders in the game.... given the current system guilds with 50+ members might as well just try to get a spot even if it means just bidding 10k at some random vendor you'll suspect no one will bid at. So I guess getting a trader is like winning @ leaderboard to draw an analogy. So your guild wins at tradering for the week and you gots a spot. OR you ganked a spot from a zerg of hopefuls clicking away at an unclaimed trader.

It's more like punishment for the "losers" than reward for the "winners."

Would it really be that bad to have more trader NPC's? Like all the ones that used to be in bleakrock, khenarthi's, Stros M'kai, Betnikh -- for now at least. I think it would relieve the situation and in my mind sounds simple enough to be easy to restore. Thing is they removed it because there were many more just empty trader NPC's. Population issues back then ;p.

A guild trader assistant only available for single-player use (like the fence), yet available for others to use inside your in-game property could remedy a lot of the issues raised so far.

I like this idea you travel to player's primary residence and see what they gots for sale.... in their personal store (subject to limitations and availability ofc.). I kinda thought about that before in a different way. But yeah I like the idea. In addition to guild traders tho (or current trading system).

    Thx all

eh I think the problem with the guild system is it's not centralized in any way- the add ons help but the system is not centralized.

I think there are actually too many traders, but only by a little bit. For people who frequent the traders many of us will generally just do a round at the standard spots and only focus on those traders.

I've thought that eliminating some of the more obscure traders would help clean things up, but at that the risk of sounding controversial, I've also thought that we possibly have too many trade guilds themselves.

If there were less trade guilds, more traders would be concentrated in fewer guilds resulting in even higher stocks at each trader, thus improving the system.

That is only a thought, though and obviously there is no testing to back it up. But this is what I have been thinking recently...

And to offset the membership limit, trade guilds would be able to apply for an increase of membership limit so that very large trading guilds could be formed. I don't see a disadavantage in having trade guilds with very large numbers.. It would be up to the guild to manage it themselves.

But who knows if it could work though maybe a bad idea

Pretty much every guild running a trader is ALWAYS recruiting and looking for members to remove inactive players.

As I stated above, I looked for webpages for the guilds in particular areas. I also searched these forums for a recruitment thread. Other than a few guilds (3-4) that are openly recruiting there's nothing else that I've found.

Is there a comprehensive list of trading guilds with contact info?

Mmm it's not working like that. Sure, you can search for sites and search for their threads on forums. You will find a lot of guilds and most top guilds like that. However, it's just not worth it for more guilds. I only had a few responses in my thread and I get most of my recruits through the game. It's just easier. What you can do is stay tuned - there are lots of ads in the chat. Or you can go to one of the most populated zone and ask if there are guilds with a trader in a town you want that are recruiting.

But basically a person right below your post explained everything well.

On PS4 the guild trader system is a sick mess. Ghost guilds buy top spots and sell for PSN cards . Pretty awesome people making a real living off this game. System is working as intended I guess ,
