Why don t you do them earlier the morning ? Sinc it s not the same server.... It is almost 4 pm in France... and servers still down since 10 am

Would be nice if they adapted it so it was in another time frame, more suitable for everybody in EU

I wish Zenimax could give us a catch up mechanic when there is a down time like this. Why not re-activate that birthday cake for higher rate of XP gain the day after a longer (more then 3 hour or what ever time limit set) downtime?

It would make it feel less that you loose a day of play and people have less reason to complain about down time, if they where to be compensated in game this way.

It's like they've finished the US server then gone for lunch or something. What's the customer-developer relationship like in ESO?

    Uhm.....

1st. The EU maintenance happens in Frankfurt at a I presume 3rd party server host/datacenter

2nd. ZOS is a US company, the 'costumer' is a commodity to be used and discarded.

They are slightly more responsive now then they have been in the past though.

Soooo... they have 2 different datacenters? So, what was the excuse for maintenance time, again?

@Huyen ZOS specifically states in its ToS that it is under no obligation to give you what you have payed for and will never give out any kind of compensation for downtime because as far as they are concerned they never promised to deliver the service in the first place.

I hope they realize that they are nuking their own income that way. "I sell you a bread, but I wont deliver it, as my TOS says I dont have to!" Say goodbye to your customers within a week....

Oh before I forget: Its in violation of european laws that protect the customer against these kind of practices by huge coperations like ZOS.

Australian legislation refers to the concept of 'fit for purpose'.
This is the only 'online' service that I use, that is not available 24/7.

Just because it is in the ToS, doesn't make it legal.

My beef today is about it rectfying problems with a release that hasn't actually been released
I got suspenders for saying "Testicular Mass" instead of "Balls". like, rilly.

    This is their problems.

    Not customers' problem.
It's only a problem to the people who demand something the service doesn't provide. You all know when ESO maintenance times are, they're very clear about when it happens so like... you choose this, don't like it that much and feel it's enough to not make the game worth playing, well I hear Hello Kitty Online has less downtime.

In the maintenance overview it states that NA/EU servers are maintained on Mondays. Today is a Tuesday.
And I've checked the maintenance board, no notification on today's maintenance via an official thread.
It's Tuesday because it was a public holiday, Gina made a post about it last week.

Yep, we're aware! This will be fixed in a future incremental.
Will we be expecting incremental patches every week for the next few weeks Gina?

Not complaining, just wondering if this will be a weekly fix release as they're done or more bundled up.

Very likely, yeah. We're currently looking at next Tuesday for the next incremental patch (Monday is a holiday in the US).
Yes it wasn't front and centre but the Dev Tracker lists everything said by Devs and they normally get the maintenance notifications up earlier than the day.

Because they are in the US and do it in their time-zone, not ours. How long have you been playing ESO because it has worked this way for 3 years. Can't see them changing it for us now.

then they should HIRE someone who can work in the proper time zone. Just like all other serious companies with a dedicated EU server do.

Also the EU server is in Germany (who do use CET).
