4000 crowns(34,99 euro) for a mount isn't that too much?

Well, I've never encountered these kinds of prices in any other game I've ever played.

6-8 (?) years ago, trying Perfect World (yeah, yeah :* ), the mounts in the cash shop - when you totaled up the basic cost and then all the upgrades - were something like 60-70 dollars. And they were p2w, since the game was open world pvp, and they were the best mounts in the game.

Just checked the WoW store, they have 9 mounts for $25, and one for $30.

And again, mounts in this game are purely cosmetic - the mount "stats" are built into your character via training, there is no advantage to an expensive mount at all. So sure, sell one for $100, I'll just point & laugh, and ignore it. Nothing to rage about, any more than I feel the need to rage about a special edition car with gold-plated steering wheel.

curious thing is : when ppl see mount for 4k crowns they r raging, when they buy unfinished and broken content everything is fine , mount or dlc or so called chapter or eso+ just a means to support the zenimax ,

so if you like what zenimax is doing with the game you should support them if not don't

What about that rather legendary elk mount though? That thing took the cake when it came to amount of content for price. It didn't even have visual armor upgrades....

2,000 or 2,500 crown mount prices would be fine, but yeah people have complained about 4K crown mounts. If you haven't noticed, Zeni doesn't really understand how pricing works.

The majority of people will only be paying 2000 though @Stovahkiin . ZOS discount Crown packs so regularly the assumption on their part is people are only paying half of the Crown price point.

Anyone that didn't max out a sale or is impulsive will pay top price. Same as real world, guys pay £££ for rhe latest TV rather than wait....

I see no problem as long as people work the system right.

Yes, it's too much. But perhaps it's a good thing that there are things that are "too much" for those that really want to spend on their hobby and be special.

It is funny how you guys think ESO ( Zenimax ) is like this:

    6.jpg?i10c=img.resize(height:160)

But in reality they are like this:

I completely agree with the sentiment. ZOS are doing just fine even without rubbish cosmetic stuff like this. 4000 crowns is just being greedy. Suckers can buy it if they want. It's their money, they can *** it away on overpriced cosmetic items like these. Good on em. But people have got to stop acting like ZOS's very survival depends on *** like this, it doesn't.

I know right? I mean a lot of people are subscribers anyway + other crown store items and don't forget their main money maker..

Yeah if they see people are buying it anyway they will consider it as a normal pricing and move on.

Yep. Just like, for every internet thread with people saying "$60 for games is too expensive! <Insert game here> is only worth $40/$30/$10!", plenty of folks out there are still buying games for $60.

I'm annoyed with the cost of that mount too. Yes, subs get 1500 crowns a month, but I would have had to know 3 months in advance to save up my monthly crowns. I've never seen a mount that expensive. I thought 2500 was pricey. I really want that mount but honestly I want the character slots more, and I don't think I can afford both. 4000 crowns. Almost 40 real life dollars (US). I don't think it's a fair price. Especially with those expensive and oft disappointing crown crates they have now. I love this game but the content just keeps costing more...I'm not sure if I like the future of ESO. I guess we'll see.

I wanted a Kagouti so I bought it. I didn't buy the Elk because I didn't want an elk.

It honestly depends on what it is and whether or not I want it enough to pay the price for it.

    But yeah it is over-priced.

4000 crowns. Almost 40 real life dollars (US).

If you were to buy crowns right now for it, a 5500C pack is $40, so the mount is $29. If you bought crowns during the last crown sale, it would be $17. 4000 crowns is only $40 if you buy multiple small packs. And even getting crowns via ESO+, it's not 4k=$40, because you get all the other ESO+ benefits, so the crowns aren't $1per100.

(not defending the price of the mount, just pointing out the actual cost of crowns. I would never, personally, spend that much on a mount or costume. I'm happy with my 700c horse.)
I've never seen a mount that expensive.

Couldn't find a complete list of "retired" mounts, but from what I've read in various places, there've been at least a couple other similar-priced mounts in the last year.
