For me it is way overpriced. A mount with the same stas as a cheap stable mount? Not for me.

But for some people it is worth it, hence you see them run around. I would not pay more then 2500 crowns for a mount if I really wanted it. And so far that has only been the mind shriven horse which I bought with the free crowns I for from subbing (so not really free actually).

If you're a die-hard fan for the mount, then you'll do it.

However, even I won't pay that kind of money for a mount, EVER! Not even if it's a dragon mount.

Sure I think it's expensive, but people will buy it. I'm kind of done buying mounts, I have too many as it is. :/

Zeni doesn't really understand how pricing works.

Yeah, true - just remember 6k price for celestial motiff, lol

It's not that, its the logic behind the pricing which I am wondering because you are right it isn't any different than any other mount so what's the point of overpricing..

The fact is you don't have a clue about how many of these mounts they are selling. For all any of us know, they actually HAVE maximized value by pricing it at 4k crowns. To pretend like you know better is absurd.

Hey, it seems some just have the extra dough laying around. It practically costs more than most DLCs and about the same as the new Morrowind (expansion, DLC; whatever the hell you want to call it.) Hey.. good for those that can spare the extra bucks to Zen. However, I'm not throwing in another 30 to 40 bucks to purchase the crowns for it. Ha ha

To be honest, I am happy that the glowing mounts are expensive. They would just completely destroy the last remainings of a thing called immersion, like all the asian mmorpgs. Apart from that, rarity generates needs.

    General crown store issue...
(X amount) crowns for (special item Y), isn't that too much?
    ...
    Sure is.
That's what makes the mount so -special-!
That's why all the people who wanna look special pay it.
So they can thumb their noses at all the peopns who don't have such a extra special horse/costume/crafting style/pet/house/whatever!

Seriously though, if its not worth the inflated price to you, buy the 10K gold sorrel horse instead and ride happily ever after! ;)

Yeah that is what I decided to do, I am not going to support them with purchasing crowns anymore. I'd rather support a company that is down to earth with their prices and I am happy to support companies.

ZOS on the other hand is going the opposite way and pushing customers away and in turn they lose a lot of money from what they will get from selling this cosmetic or mount items at the current price.

If they had that mount 2 K crowns they would have made double or even triple the money from what they will do and its just crazy why they choose to do that.

If more people can afford it the more purchases, common sense. Unfortunately they are going down this path which will not end well for them at least in profit wise..

That's not my point I already have a mount lol...

My point is that the prices for something cosmetic is crazy, a few weeks ago there was a motif for 6K ( don't really care for motifs I wouldn't have bought it anyway) but 6,000 crowns for a motif is just disrespectful to the customers.

Why would a mount cost 34,99 euro while a DLC costs 20, but I don't know who is in charge of the pricing for these things but they are doing a terrible job.

They would make more money selling it at a normal price at the range of 2K rather than 4K.

Mounts are cosmetics only. If you can't buy them or won't buy them you will not be robbed of anything in the game itself. Why this is even an issue worth raging about is beyond me.

Personally I do enjoy the game a lot. Hence I am subbed and will buy things that are "worth" it for me. But I will only buy those things I like. I haven't bought the Elk or this Kagouti for example because I don't think they are that nice and they don't fit any of my characters at all. My wife bought them both.
Although I have OCD i am not in the habit of buying every mount in the game....just cause I can or could. So I didn't and it doesn't hurt my gaming experience one Iota. And neither should it hurt yours, dear complainers.

So if you like the mount....buy it. Don't like the mount? Don't buy it. Don't like the pricing....don't buy it. But also don't tell anyone what to buy or that they are stupid because they bought it.

I suspected as much, since that wouldn't be the point for most anyhow ;)

But those "special" mounts are kinda like any super-overpriced status symbols - nowhere near worth what they cost, yet people buy them anyways, and as long they are sold at those prices, the prices will remain at those levels.

Its way worse with other things... have you looked at what a simple namechange costs? You know the things that uusally go for 500 bits of equivalent cash store currency in comparable games?

Me, I accept that, and when they aren't worth the crowns for me... I just don't buy them. And when they are... I grudgingly shell out the crowns, and consider it the cost of keeping ESO running.

So what is the constructive input in the above posts?
When they complain about prices set by the company that created it?

Suggesting that they should sale their stuff cheaper is that constructive?

I dont see people in the marketplaces irl complaining about an apple or banana being too expensive cause people accept those prices and the things i just mention are food wich is crucial for human survival this Mount is a cosmetical and not that important and if you cant afford it you just have to accept it.

Well, I've never encountered these kinds of prices in any other game I've ever played. This mindset is starting to affect everything. I was checking out the new furniture and the highest I found was $4. That's gone up to $5.75. This is the first time I've ever seen house items of any type being sold for real world cash. Most games have items that are crafted only and/or purchased with ingame gold. I think its probably something you could craft if the drop rates weren't so high.

And I've heard about this support for the game etc etc. I have to wonder, what is this support doing? I've not seen anything new added to the game that leads to this conclusion. The last "free" thing we got was the ability to buy houses and for some of us, in game gold may as well be real world cash. I know of a couple of entirely free to play games that don't come near to these kind of prices. And its everywhere. You can't even go into a barber shop and change your characters appearance without spending real money. We're talking just a simple hair change not race, not sex, just eyebrows or something.

This pricing is helping the game? I think people really mean we're supporting people behind the game not the game itself. Its still pretty much the same game I started playing only with more stuff I can spend real money on. And this affects all of us to some degree. Bethesda used to be known for releasing buggy games. Now, its for the ridiculous pricing they have on everything. Helping the game would have much more content coming to everyone more often. People buying these crazy mounts got us Morrowind and battlegrounds and wardens behind a paywall. Since they're willing to shell out more and more why not charge for more and more. That's the only lesson they can learn.

I'm almost surprised you don't have to drop a few dollars for each time you want to raise a skill a level once you're earned the experience for it. Bit by bit, they just find more and more to overcharge on. Where some games actually loosen the things behind paywalls to get more players, this one is putting more behind them and seeing how much they can get on the ones they have left. If new players do come in, there's so much that is standard offerings in most games that cost money here. It has to be off putting. It certainly doesn't make you think healthy game.
