Alchemy Hireling?

Pondered this for a long time now but figured I'd make a post in regards to it. All other crafts have 3 hireling ranks for purchase when you attain the proper level, but was Alchemy not getting one an oversight? Just a suggestion for the future, but adding this in would not be a bad idea.

There are no higher quality alchemy mats, everything else can produce superior, epic, or legendary quality crafting mats while for alchemy all herbs can be obtained at any skill level in any zone.

If I recall correctly, they omitted it because alchemy materials where the same in every zone while harvested mats changed based on the zone level. This however is mute after One Tamriel and would be great if they swapped out Snakeblood for a hireling.

I think this is coming out in a future pay to win release. Maybe next chapter.

That doesnt make any sense as they have hireling for Provisioning.

Agreed. Snakeblood is completely useless and could easily be swapped out for a hireling.

You can't get bervez juice or frost mirriam by regular means so it applies.

If you look at the price of nirnroot or columbine compared with just about anything else in a guild store, it appears that some reagents have more value than others. I think a hireling would be a great thing for alchemy!

Shadowy supplier from the dark brotherhood skill line is effectively an alchemy hireling, although you don need to go to him rather than it be sent to your mail which is a pain.

The 5th skill point spent on any of my chars is keen eye alchemy. Every char runs daily alchemy writs.

That is because of how the alchemy reagents work regardless of level and water/fat is everywhere in plentiful supply.

Alchemy is the easiest to level, easiest to keep supplied and one of the most beneficial and necessary of the crafts.

I think adding a hireling would be overkill.

It is not an oversight. Especially early in the game the hirelings were the best source for upgrade matts. As someone pointed out Alchemy has no high level matts.

Also, Shadowy Supplier from the DB line is a pseudo alchemy hireling.

They could add it in anyways, and in order to compensate for the "it has no high quality ingredients" argument, they could give alot more in one mail.

Even so, I doubt many will spent skill points in it. The only reason why you should even invest points in the hirelings, is to get more Upgrade / High quality items. Everything else is easily obtained through deconstructing and refining.

I did not really have nor spend the time acquiring the daily "hireling" from the shadowy supplier until the last few weeks. And I must say it does in no way suffice as being an applicable alchemy hireling. Most days it's useless Alliance Draught potions or Alakhest and very common poison items. I still believe an alchemy hireling is needed, items like Corn Flower, Lady's Smock and Columbine.
