Umm well it's PvP based event. So why battlegrounds shouldnt be included ?...I dont have expansion because I think it's overpriced yet I dont see problem in fact that one of achievements requires taking part in battlegrounds. People sometimes takes things to serious. One achievemnt is all what needed to make them mad.

but as for IC it isnt that big problem as battleground because it just need to have eso+ which much cheaper for 1 month, is giving many more additional "rewards" and acsess to all dlc without buying it

Ok, now we are getting into gradients of how much is OK to pay, and how much isn't.

Really, I think this ends up being much ado about nothing. There will be more people upset about the PVP nature of this event than the need to own Morrowind, me thinks.

Its a holiday event. It really should not be tied to a new zone. Not everyone can afford to buy the new zone out right and not everyone is interested in going there. Its one thing if the OP was pointing out an achievement in Morrowind for the zone. But this is something that should be completely removed from that sort of thing.

Why should this specific holiday event which attempts to incorporate numerous types of PvP achievements be divorced from an entire category of PvP activity (Battlegrounds) just because they happen to be made available in an expansion?

If I were interested in Battlegrounds, which I'm not, I think I'd be miffed if a PvP holiday excluded a form of PvP important to me. If you couldn't participate in the holiday at all if you didn't have the expansion, I'd see that as a problem, but I don't see anything wrong with including achievements you can only get if you have access to all available content.

ok, event accessible to all =/= completed by those who only have a base game. there are parts of the event that are accessible to anyone who has a base copy and zero DLC's. and there are parts that require DLC. and there are parts that require morrowind. guess what? ITS OK. why? becasue you STILL can participate in at least parts of the event, the even is NOT expansion only, but rather something that covers all types of content.

I find it to be more of an issue that it doesn't just require participation in various pvp activities (like say play through 5 battlegrounds, or I don't know, kill 20 people in Cyrodill). it specifically requires winning. I am telling this to you all right now, there will be COPIOUS amounts of win trading going on (how do i know? this may not be WoW, but people are people everywhere, and for the holiday event in WoW that required winning as a component to complete event meta? people just traded wins until everyone in a battleground was done, I'm specifically talking about "For the children" holiday). and for a lot of solo players it will be unattainable NOT because it requires expansions, but again - becasue it requires WINNING specific pvp events.

THAT may be an issue. not a huge one, and ZOS is within the rights to add more achievements that cannot realistically be attained by all (like emperor, etc), but I'm personaly still saddened by it because there is a high chance that decorations i want from it, I will never be able to obtain. but.. such is life. I will never have any of the vet trial titles and/or dyes either.
