Do you like the Warden Class?

No point playing the cool druid class unless you can actually use the abilities for more than five seconds.

I agree absolutely. It would help a lot if instead of Ice effects (can't see a logical reason) it used plant effects like heavy thorns instead if of ice spikes, protective vines instead of the ice shield and so on and so forth. I know it's a cliche but if only the casting effects were only green instead of blue...

    No, it sucks. (Reason)
wardens are awesome , i like to watch them wiping team in any given role because all of the warden skills has delay before they hit,

of course then i kick warden out of my group :D

    1. No lore to back it up.

I would have had 10x more interest if they had introduced a class like Necromancer, or Lich, or something with far more "Cool" factor.

    1. Actually you have TONS of lore in Elder Scrolls universe to back up the Warden and yes it's lore that existed before ESO. For instance: An artifact that appeared in the original Morrowind's Bloodmoon called Totem of Claw and Fang is a totem used by the Skaal in religious rituals to invoke "powerful nature magic" and summons a spirit bear.

Reachmen are said to use nature magic (once given the knowledge by Hagravens), as well as Hagraven's being created using it and use it as well. Spriggans also use nature magic as well, "corrupting" other animals to fight for them. You could also say that the Skaal of Solstheim also use some sort of nature magic. Nature magic is all over ES lore.

The Warden has ended up much less interesting than I was led to believe and has sorta leapfrogged me closer to "burnout" than I should be at this point.

While playing my Warden I've started to ask myself "what am I doing?" "why am I paying a sub?" "what is my end goal?" All my other toons are 50 cp600 and it's not like Morrowind extended the skill lines or increased max level so progression is lateral at best. It's kinda just questing for the sake of questing. W-what am I gonna do when I finish my last faction (specifically saved EP to do on my Warden) and Vardenfall? I mean I can't even really look forward to expansions much like I do for other MMOs apparently. New zones but I remain the same.

Kinda having an MMO existential crisis over here.
3 new classes. 3 new spellcasters. Zenimax has forgotten how to make melee classes.

    1. No lore to back it up.
    2. Being a Vampire Warden should be an impossibility
    3. Wielding Ice, or any other elemental magic should be a Sorc's gig
    4. Green Mushrooms and Bears? Uh...no

I would have had 10x more interest if they had introduced a class like Necromancer, or Lich, or something with far more "Cool" factor.

    1. Says who? Last I checked ZoS writes ESO lore, and none of the Warden breaks established lore.
    2. Says who? One does not lose their magical knowledge upon affliction, death, and undeath.
    3. Uh, no? After claiming Warden is against lore you point out that you onow little about lore.
    4. Care to expand with actually reasoning?

A Lich would be hunted and killed by everyone and their mother, as would a necromancer. Or did you forget the lore in ESO has Necromancy as an absolute enemy?

    1. There was no mention of anything like the warden prior to ESO.
    2. You are correct on this point, no reason why they shouldn't be vampires.
    3. Also correct here, why should elemental magic be limited to sorc? (although I'm not sure why you imply that it is related to lore)
    4. Sounds like he just doesn't like the base concepts of the Warden

Not true, just look at Telacar and Vastarie.

Most ESO lore didnt exist before ESO.. logic lol

Notice how many more necromancer are villains vs non-villian?

After playing a warden to level 31, I now wish I could change my answer for the poll. I now love it. I was more indifferent to wardens when I was still trying different skill/spell combos, but once I decided to specialize in animal magic, suddenly the class got super fun. It could use a stronger area-of-effect spell that's not an ultimate, though. <3

I haven't really played a warden yet, but there is one thing I definitely do not like, but can still kind of understand. Everybody is trying out the warden and when you go to a Dolmen or other place where people congregate, there are bears EVERYWHERE. I can hardly separate the enemy from the bears! I'm sure that will calm down some over time, but for now, God help you if you need to do a Dolmen in the Alik'r Desert.....as if the crowds weren't bad enough already.

I know, right? I went to the Alik'r dolmens this morning, and they were so crowded I ended up leaving again. There were so many people shooting at the spot where the boss spawned that I literally never even saw the boss before it died. LOL.
And bears everywhere, but that's ok.

I only played it in Beta, and I'm mostly indifferent at the moment. It looks like it will be a bit of fun for variety, but I don't feel a need to jump on it right away just yet.

People who spout "no lore to back things up" is hilarious... lore evolves and new lore gets added so its perfectly fine as long as zos adds in more lore to explain it

Just not my cup of tea. I can see playing the other four classes but something about the Warden class just doesn't appeal to me.
