I would have thought people who are looking for the nostalgia would be high on the list of people who don't like the current design. As you say, they're supposed to be gigantic mushrooms, not stone towers with a fungal infection.Glad I wasn't the only one who thought those towers looked incredibly disgusting, was worried I'd *** off the players going off on their Nostalgia trips, (no offence). I know they're supposed to be gigantic Mushrooms, but it honestly looks like the Flood had infected the island and we need to call the Master Chief ASAP.
Yeah, it really needs more yellows and browns and less reds and pinks.

Oh yes. I'm very sure that ZoS will change the textures of the towers just because you are oversensitive and probably with intolerance to anything gritty or even remotely gory, so that you can return to being in your safe zone.
The mushrooms are natural flora for Morrowind and especially Vvardenfell, there's nothing even remotely wrong with them growing the towers. It actually provides a nice and gritty, eerie effect. After all, the Telvanni mages are more often than not fairly greedy, evil and even deal with Daedra for immortality as you'll see in this xpac.
This is a mature game, please go elsewhere if such things "disgust" or frighten you. Ta.
Except the fact that they're the wrong colour and are growing out of a stone foundation instead of out of the ground. The mushrooms are natural flora for Morrowind and especially Vvardenfell, there's nothing even remotely wrong with them growing the towers. I don't mind that, really... after all, the mushroom towers we know from TES:Morrowind are what, eight centuries -after- ESO:Morrowind? They should rework them entirely so they look more like mushroom towers and less like brick outhouses with a fungal infection
They're the exact same towers though. Take Tel Mora, for example. It's clear that this has grown upwards, from the ground, not outwards from some long-decayed foundation.TheShadowScout wrote: »I don't mind that, really... after all, the mushroom towers we know from TES:Morrowind are what, eight centuries -after- ESO:Morrowind?
Things change in such times, you know?
Oh? So, tell me... what evidence do you have that those are the -same- towers, and not towers that were rebuilt in the exact same location some centuries later when the original ones had fallen into ruin? Because as I keep saying... it is close to eight centuries between ESO:Morrowind and TES:Morrowind... now there are buildings that last such times, and wizard towers might be among them... but they just as well might not. Its entirely plausible that at some point telvanni mages perfected the mushroom tower thing, and tore down their old stone-but mushroom covered towers to grow pure mushroom-towers in their place, yes? They're the exact same towers though...TheShadowScout wrote: »I don't mind that, really... after all, the mushroom towers we know from TES:Morrowind are what, eight centuries -after- ESO:Morrowind?
