Hiya mates,

Now the dust has settled and it has been like 40+ hours after the release.

Does the expac live upto your expectations ?

Be 100% subjective based on what you have seen so far :)

How would you rate Morrowind...1 being the worst and 10 being the best.

To be fair, the update itself is not bad. What ZoS advertised and is asking for players to pay is bad. That said I have cancelled my subscription and quit playing for the foreseeable future.

I had the changes on skills. I run out of Stamina before I can kill a hard target for a quest even when I use food that increases it.

A 20% dps hit is no joke.

Right now, dpsing is a pain. It's the worst combat has ever felt for me and I have played this game for a long time. Heavy attacks are clunky and boring, and it's sad that everyone either has to run full recovery and lose out on a lot of damage, or run full heavy attack builds and still lose out on a lot of damage.

Dealing damage has just stopped being fun and I've lost my motivation for doing content.

Its good but really needed way more than orsinium to justify the price. Like double the quests ect.

Content wise everything is awesome. Having to completely redo and relearn my build while dying constantly to stuff I could barrel through before? Not awesome

The poll is confusing people. Some are rating the expansion (errr... "chapter") bad because they don't like the patch nerfs. I hate some of the patch nerfs, too, but Morrowind itself is awesome. So people will see this poll and think "the expansion sucks" when really people are just (rightfully) upset about the patch nerfing their characters until they bleed.
Morrowind is awesome. It's the nerfs that suck, but we would have gotten nerfs whether we had Morrowind coming or not.

If ZOS had been smart, they would have released the nerf part of the patch in a different month from Morrowind. Since they released it all together, of course people are going to associate the two and rate the expansion worse as a result. That's ZOS's fault.

Technically, this is called the "Morrowind Update", so everything included in this patch.

Waaaaaaaay too early to asses. The four or five quests I've done so far have been fantastic. Graphically and atmospherically, it's amazing. Nchuleftingth is, in my personal opinion, a masterpiece.

But that's a very limited view so far. I've heard reports that the questline is shorter than Wrothgar's and that there's simply less story content. If so, that's a very big drawback, especially considering I still find the "Chapter" concept and the accompanying changes to ESO+ to be extremely not-okay. I've heard there's a lot of locations you just can't access, a lot of ruins and crypts that are just decoration. I have no idea how to feel about that.

And, of course, I've only played on my MagSorc so far, so I haven't really experienced the nerfs.

No, there's no way I could give an honest assessment. I've enjoyed everything I've done so far, but I haven't put myself in a position to experience the potential problems. Insufficient Data for Analysis.

I'm really trying to understand the direction the Devs are taking Us with Chapters instead of DLC . There's too much that is still raw and unpolished in Marrowind in regards to filling up empty space . I want to wait awhile and see what the Devs do to address some issues first . I played the Beta and checked out most everything in a short period of time but know there must be some secrets I missed . The graphics are fantastic and the stories are good solid quest stories , it just feels like more is to come so for that I will wait to purchase and judge .

    Good:
    • Very nice scenery and character development.
    • Nice new abodes.
    • Nostalgia.
    • More justice system integration(real trespassing).
    • Violent stabbing scenes.

    Bad:
    • Sudden huge nerfs to resource management ZOS should have nerfed it slowly and not "shock" everyone.
    • Some NPCs have no arms dudes! There goes the immersion.
    • Pretty expensive content in terms of finances. It would be nice if it were a bit more affordable. Vvarden
    • The so called "magical" mushroom towers look so diseased! I expected colorful mushrooms with magical spores floating all over.
    • Other zones look UGLY compared to Vvardenfell. Time to maintenance those zone ZOS(if ever).

I really like it so far. The warden is starting to not be so liked. I swear the more I level him the worse he's getting. Why is that even possible? Even got that new Defiler set on him (that thing scared the crap out of me the first time it popped). But the self heals... where did they go?!

I really like it so far. I have been questing and doing battlegrounds. Had a blast. The landscape is gorgeous and I am in love with the music. I will soon try the trial with my guild, can't wait!

What I don't like about it, is that I consider this could have been just a DLC, not a "chapter". However I will keep my subscription and I will probable pay for the next chapter. I just do not see much differences between this chapter and orsinium DLC that I got for free with my sub.

I can only rate the changes made to CP and combat, which I'd say is a 5. The entire class system is the worst I've ever come across in very long time. Much like Grim Dawn, there's too much filler in the way of skills, a severe lack of build variety to the point where, in many cases, you're really playing 'weapons' as a class.

This poll is difficult to answer because there are two issues to rate: The content, storyline, and gameplay of Morrowind, vs the balance changes and general game patch.

If Morrowind was released as a DLC, as it should have been, and had been included in ESO+, as it should have been. Then from what I saw on the PTS, anywhere from 7-9/10 would be reasonable. The new zone is very pretty although kind of empty with Huge dwemer ruins taking up lots of surface space but they have no interiors.

The balance however, deserves its own separate rating. Since ZOS still doesn't seem to understand what items (CP and softcap removal) are causing all the power creep, and how to properly address that, they are skill nerfing fun and iconic class skills to death in a desperate attempt to balance the game. This is killing classes and making the game less fun so 4/10 for the balance changes even though controlling sustain was the right way to go. At least they have semi-identified the problem. The solution however is a different story.

I'm enjoying the Warden class, the scenery of Vvardenfell, the quests, and the NPCs, and so far I've only done Seyda Neen, Vivec City, and a handful of quests in Balmora. The voice acting is still great and I'm back to playing "Hey, it's that actor!" when I encounter a new character. The music is good; I love what's been done with Nerevar Rising, Peaceful Waters, and The Road Most Travelled. I'm itching to log back in and get adventuring again. And I'm also hoping again that we'll see Music of Tamriel Vol. 2 someday.

This is without a doubt my favorite DLC since Orsinium. However, there lies the problem. Orsinium set the standard for a DLC. After The Thieves Guild, The Dark Brotherhood, and Shadows of the Hist, the isle of Vvardenfell does feel huge. And that is pretty nice. However, in terms of content and new features, it seems to be about the scope of Orsinium.

Business models and subscriber benefits change all the time. This was probably inevitable. So, I'm looking forward to future releases, but I'm letting go of all expectations of seeing anything like Orsinium in the Crown Store again.

(Nope, not going to rate based on the balance changes. Update 14 is being rolled out to everyone regardless of if they bought Morrowind or not, so we can't really say we paid to get nerfed.)

Morrowinds content is a definite 10+, the best dlc so far. The balance patch however is another story, I rate that a 3 or 4 because it's way too much of a nerf in general.

It's a good DLC, just overpriced. The content simply isn't there to charge $40 (it's the same amount of content as Orsinium, if not less). The warden and battlegrounds were just tacked on to justify the price.

I'm really trying to understand the direction the Devs are taking Us with Chapters instead of DLC . There's too much that is still raw and unpolished in Marrowind in regards to filling up empty space . I want to wait awhile and see what the Devs do to address some issues first . I am in the same boat @Rohamad_Ali . I finished it on my wife's account in beta.

The content is awesome, but is shorter than Orsinium . The area is larger but sometimes look empty.

In Orsinium we had 40 quests for achievement in Morrowind we have only 32.

They certainly must add more quests in the wilderness ..more content to justify the price .

Besides the warden and the battle grounds , Morrowind is an overpriced DLC . Morrowind is not an expansion or Chapter .

Anyway, Morrowind is the best DLC up to date , the area is gorgeous, the quests are long, everything is wonderful but ..ZOS need to add more quests, more nodes, more crafting stations, more fish ( yes they must add purple fish too) . Also many houses are locked ..so thieves have very few things to do in Morrowind.

The area looks unfinished ..I hope ZOS will finish it until 6 june :)

After all of this I'll give it a 10 :)
