I bought a second account from steam and just copied the key and put in eso thingy and thingy worked fine just like first account from Amazon. Its only a matter of where you activate the key.If nothing else ask GameStop and say I am confused.
Well if you link your current account to steam, THEN it should work (via steam)I bought a second account from steam and just copied the key and put in eso thingy and thingy worked fine just like first account from Amazon. @Tasear When was this? Before they changed how steam and ESO accounts link back in November?
Well you can link your regular ESO account to steam, which then you could use the steam key. But a steam key won't work right on the ESO website as far as I know.

How do I link the ESO account to Steam?
I went in to Steam, identified my 2 ESO .exe (launcher and eso64), then tried to buy update and Steam said didn't have ESO so no purchase available????
I... got confused.

Unfortunately : NO.
Amazon is Steam code too, states DRM: Steam.

Yeah, you have to rebuy the game on Steam. The Steam ESO process is all sorts of messed up. You can link your Steam TESO:U purchase to your existing ESO account (effectively buying the game twice), but if you decide to unlink from Steam, that's not possible, at which point you can only play that account through Steam (even though it was initially bought directly from ZOS). It's just a nightmare, steer clear of the Steam ESO.
