Morrowind pre-download question

I bought the digital upgrade for Morrowind and went to my account page to download it. My account says "THE ELDER SCROLLS® ONLINE: MORROWIND® DIGITAL EDITION" status: "active". Under that there is a button to download the game. What is confusing me is that when I press that button, it seems to want to download the entire game (87GB). I already have the base game installed; is there a way to just download the expansion like we can do with the DLC? If I do have to redownload the entire game, do I have to uninstall my current installation first?

    You don't download anything. The game will automatically update itself when the expansion is pushed live. Same like any other update or DLC.

    That's not how you pre-download Morrowind, that's how you download the entire game. A patch will be out later containing Morrowind content.

    Is ESO setup to update from the local PTS folder before downloading any last minute updates?

    No, it won't use any data from the PTS you may have installed.
