Why are so many players begging to be carried through Skyreach?

If it's someones 10th char they probably don't need to be carried.

What do you mean? A 10th character will still be low level at first, with no CPs, not all skills and passives unlocked, probably no shields nor self-healing yet, etc., and so can't handle the groups of mobs inside Skyreach.

When I start a new toon I get all my cp. Not sure why you don't get yours.
Now when I start a new account then I have to build my cp from start.

Why do you care? Let ppl power lvl their toons. After you lvl 4 toons questing becomes quite boring and no one got time for it. Even though, you stll have to run main quest for soul magic skill line.

I have 8 toons and still don't feel the questing is boring, maybe just not focus on it so hard as before, but use for levelling skils and getting skill points and lore. It's rather the people are living fast today and don't want to immerse much into the game, they do the content quickly and leave game for other pleasures.
But the soul magic skill line - why do you care so much about it? It's a waste of skill points imo.

I don't know about the skill line, but the amount of skill POINTS you get there is just too good to pass up. AND i prefer to fill my own soul shards, which means Soul lock is a must.

no skill lines? yeah, but you are wrong on CP. its account-wide, so the moment you create a new character, you can max out your CP points which helps a LOT. ( that and a person with that many characters can either afford to buy, or just craft a nice starter gear)

Skyreach grind USED to be somewhat secret months ago and one of my friends was one of the rare people who knew about the grind. Someone spilled the beans. Now everyone and their mother goes in there.

I'm going to take a wild guess and assume you've never reached level 50. Champion Points are account wide. Every character on your account gets them. The only reason one of your characters wouldn't have your full CP value, is if you chose not to spend them. Which, hey, some people do make that choice. I used to. But, CP is there as soon as you want them, (if you have any to spend.)

True^ I'm on my 9th toon and I've been soloing on stamplar

I think by "carry" people are simply saying "get me the entire dungeons XP in ~5mins and lets reset" instead of spending 30mins in there killing everything themself and repeating..

Both are fine, but I don't think which character # youre on makes a difference in whether or not you need to be carried lol.

Sure it does. A person who is new and on his first toon will probably need to be carried through Skyreach. While a person on his 10th probably won't need anyone to be carried.

That's like saying experience doesn't make a difference in someone's ability to play. Way off.

That's because the game is designed this way!

It is not rewarding to do a single quest unless you reach CP160 level.

All gear you get prior CP160 becomes garbage once you reach CP160!

I encourage all players to spend few hours grinding their CP160 level and then start your questing and exploration experience.

It is so much more rewarding knowing that you get the gear that you can keep forever.

Hmm...but aren't the quest rewards garbage anyway? For decon though that's a good point.

    Lazy powerleveling.
Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

There are three Skyreaches. Catacombs is the one you want to be at. The other two are more normal dungeons that don't give all that much experience.

Several streamers describe it as the best place to grind. Basically the players watch these videos and want to level up quickly but not put in the effort or skill themselves.

They should at least have some food or drink before entering and be able to heal themself. Just because one have CP doesn't mean that one can deal with all kind of damage when they drag every possible adds towards you without even talking with you.

A little over 1.2M. I keep hoping someone who charges by the level or by the CP will accept my plea; but I guess those selling assistance are not truly serious with offering their services.

I'm reasonably sure that catacombs is the one we tried. the one with all the ghosts spawning at the firepits and chest event in a back middle that if you die on - de-spawns and you have to reset and do the whole thing over, before you can try again? (and second part is when you go down and down into the caves, though I only got that far once with guild group, don't think I can solo THAT, nowhere near a good enough player for it)

That's only true once the character hits level 20-30+, maybe more depending on build. Before that, a lot of people don't have shields, or heals, or good AoE. No point going in there if you can't plow through it and burn everything quickly.

If it took you a half hour you were doing it wrong. You need to pull the mobs from several areas, stack them up and have your high level buddy drop (insert high damaging ult here) on them. It should take about 5 minutes.

It should take about 5 minutes to clear it. Go in with 2 people, one person goes left, the other right, aggro everything and pull it all to the back where the chest is. Burn everything down with AoE. Open the chest, burn everything down. Split up again, and meet back at the entrance. Burn everything down again.

I average Skyreach every seven minutes in 3 pulls. The only thing that takes time is the chest because of the delayed spawns. Pulling in any higher numbers will often put too many decayed circles that heal the undead, and slow everything down.

Sure it is. You don't play a stamina DK like you do a magicka templar. Leveling up the traditional way gives you a chance to learn the nuances of the character and get a proper rotation down.

Skyreach is a way for lazy people to quickly level a character so they can then a week later say they are bored with the game because there is nothing for their fully leveled character to do.
and then the parrot said, "must be the water mines green too."
