Housing, way too limited and not worth the time

I have done the basis housing quest where you get a room at the inn.
Put in a few paintings, a bed, small table and a chair, and a few other things.

Yesterday I crafted a cup and a flask as I wanted to shine up the place a bit.
Great was my disapointment when ESO announced the "you have reached the limit of number of things you can put into a small house".
WHAT ???

Apparently you cannot make a house look like any of the pictures shown - this is not allowed ... well unless you become an ESO plus member (where you only can put in twice as many items) !

I was so looking forward to the housing concept, but it appears to a complete failure and not worth the time to produce any of the items - you simply cannot put them in your house.
At this time, there is no way I'm going to invest in a larger house.

Request ESO to rework the flawed and failed housing concept to:
  • Allow us to fit the house with an unlimited (at least up to 200+ items per housing level)
  • Storage like in the old days of skyrim - free and unlimited (not accessible from the crafting stations).

Remember: DON'T buy the funiture sets in ESO store - you wont be able to fit them in your house !!!

I foresee ESO adding another coinsink: Use gold to expand max number of allowed house items.

Housing - what a huge disapointment :(:(:(

so far the only thing interesting in housing is what people will pay for decorations, otherwise i have no use for a house with zero storage.

I have not done any housing yet. Idk if i will or not but i have seen some amazing things like arenas guild halls and statues.

You're telling me you only have the free room not a house or a mansion and you're calling it a waste. Yoo havent even scratched the top of the iceberg yet.

Im ok with it since they did say they will add onto housing in the future. I think people who are less social dont like housing since they really dont provide much back to you as a player aside from having a place to show off too friends :v

Housing space increases both with the size of the home, and doubles with ESO+.

This is true for SO many of the houses, especially some of the very large ones... It actually baffles me, because if you look at Cliffshade, which is a medium home, you can actually overfill it with items, because it is SO small for a medium house, then look at Mournoth Keep, which somehow falls into the same category as Cliffshade, has exactly the same item limit, but is huge in comparison and desperately needs more item slots.

In my personal opinion, the number of items a home can have should be based upon the amount of space within it that can be decorated, and not just dependant on which category that home fits into... The new Inn room in Vvardenfell is larger than the other Inn rooms in game, and yet it still has an item limit of 30 for subscribers, so is extremely difficult to decorate and is almost impossible to decorate creatively, I cannot imagine the headache in decorating it for non subscribers!

We really do desperately need to be able to put more items into our houses, it's greatly hindering peoples creativity!

It's a waste to these ridiculous people because it isn't free, or they don't give you a mansion with your sub.

Wait first thing... your complaining that the first FREE house (its not a house its an apt), is to limited... the basically tutorial is to small, is what your saying???

That being said. Your basic premise is right the current housing is limited. However your examples are extremely flawed.
The sets you buy are intended for the larger homes you can buy (with game gold or crowns), not the apartment.

Like other people said its lacking in function right now. Most people point to the lack of storage in a home (which was how you stored things in TES, and what TES players are used to I'm sure). While im not one of those, i got my own personal banker set up in my home ;-p I am disappointing in the lack of social things to do. Im a huge fan of the PVP idea floating around that would be fun! However its place you can show off trophies, i think there is room for expansion for what qualifies as a trophy and can be shown off. Like unlocking achievements. You can also earn, or buy work stations, alchemy, and dye station. You can buy planks of wood or other forms and build add-on to your house. Things like that are actually fun.

Yes its super limited, and the only people who enjoy it are RPers, those who want to carve a little space in the game where they can get away from annoying people in game spamming dual invites, and still talk to guild mates, and people who, well like to show off their E-peen.

Hopefully we do get more functionality (like mini-battle grounds). Even if we dont i enjoy my house.

I agree that the limits are a bit disappointing. But, I'd guess they're thinking about server space, as well as the rendering limits of our own machines when they set those limits. Which is probably why unlimited storage isn't happening either.

Even in Skyrim, you could get hit by lag by cramming all your hard-earned loot into one place. The same went for rendering 3D models and textures, as so many of us learned by trying to make piles of cheese wheels or gems. And Divines help you if your greenhouse ever filled with bees....

Is it just the picture which is upside down, or did you actually make an upside down house? If so, that is amazing  I love it!
