Dual wield stamplars are nerfed as this knocks enemies even further out of the range of jabs. This is one of those changes where I scratch my head because NOBODY asked for it. It has always been a counter-productive ability because templars main DD ability is melee range and this change makes it even worse. Why does ZOS insist on repeatedly fixing things that aren't broken (See blazing spear stun removal) when there are so many broken things that actually need fixing?

Now that they are fixing crit rush to actually increase damage based on distance travelled (it didn't this whole time, who knew?) it could slightly help stamplars with burst. Also it now becomes an ability that makes the environment more deadly, you can use situational awareness to kill enemies with fall damage which you can do now on live server but an 8 meter knockback will make it all the easier. I don't see it as a bad thing, just a change and to some it may be a buff and others a nerf depending on play style.

I can see how Stamplars are happy with this change, but it's rather irritating for Magplars who want to use the skill as a CC, since they're screwed out of their Toppling CC 99% of the time.

Just to be clear, as a stamplar I am NOT happy about this change. It is a buff for 2H stamplars I guess, who are probably using dizzying swing over javelin anyway for more burst. Bad and pointless change for most templar builds.

I could understand that, especially since shards no longer stun. I guess I'm not all that upset about this change because 1. It benefits my play style and 2. I'm wayyyyy more upset about DK nerfs :P

Pros: A lazy macro tuned magplar (or amazingly skilled player of course) is now less likely to stun me and jab my poor stam-starved magblade to holey pokey death before I can...anything.
I'll take this nerf/buff in stride and adapt my play accordingly. Shouldn't you?

I do see your point though if relying on just class skills. I think it was also kind of a nerf out of nowhere. It's not like the spear was getting spammed by 90% of Templars or something.

I mean, I hate javelin spam too. It's why I have refused to use it almost always. But with disorient on shards gone, with toppling being unreliable, it was sort of a last resort, but not anymore.
Crushing shock on a Templar is fine, if you want to be ranged. Not everyone wants to play ranged. I've always played melee specs except my time on Sorc, and I prefer that. Many players do. It's sort of why a lot of us are interested in classes like DK and Templar.
I also understand that NB needs work, I really do. But doesn't mean hurt other classes because one needs work. How about ZoS just fix things and make things functioning again? That'd be the real solution.

Maybe they'll finally give us an unblockable disabling skill like Rune Prison(Sorcerer), Fossilize(Dragonknight), Mass Hysteria(Nigthtblade)!
...probably not knowing they already took away our disorient
