Are wardens being overhyped?

Not worth a poll but i saw alcast do a stam dps test with warden and tbh i wasnt impressed .

Maybe warden is meant to be a magicka class/support but the stam class passives are pretty weak i would say.

So whats with the "warden is p2w" buzz going around?

Yes, they suck. Unfortunately ZoS gutted some important things from other classes in the attempt to make them more appealing though.

Some say P2W purely because it's a class behind a paywall. Some say Warden will outclass Templars as healers. Others have said they will perform heal/tank biroll better than Templar. Others still say it because of the nerfs to currently existing skills.

It's pretty unfounded over-all from what I've seen.

ESO's online community is no different than any other online gaming community that I've seen. When something new comes around the nay-sayers are on the forums yelling as loud as they can, those of us who enjoy the game are too busy playing to counteract them.

The screaming few do not speak for the many.

I think they offer a lot of good support spells. I also like the design of the class. I don't think it will be p2w at all. They don't seem to offer much in dps though.

I think magicka will be good as a warden. I'm not really enjoying stamina much in this game anymore, no matter the class they don't seem to be the best option.

New classes always have hype. Doesn't mean they will be overpowered.

It's just another class to play with. You will enjoy it if it suits your playstle. They have worked hard on it.

    What's it matter?

If you like the class; play it.

If you don't like the class, don't play it

    Simple

I am not sure what the NDA rules are on what I can and cannot say here.

I will discuss Alcasts video I guess.
Basically everyones DPS has been dropped significantly on the next patch. So Stam Wardens DPS is actually fine... i wouldn't say good but fine.

They can self provide, Minor Beserk, Major Fracture and Major Brutality which makes them quite good solo.

It is kind of the animations that are slowing the warden down atm, and there has already been a buff in that regaurd with the Betty Netch.

It is my opinion it would not take much to buff the Stam warden to good dps instead of fine that can easily be done before release or soon after.

I think MagDPS warden is in much more trouble dps wise but they also have access to a lot more ultility. You might notice from Alcasts video that also there seems to be a bug or two with spell crit and warden abilities. Again likely to be fixed before release.

Around here, they also cry, "P2W," when they want something but don't want to pay for it. Which pretty much covers the situation with the Warden on the boards.

Stam warden will be great in PvP. The utility their class has plus the weapon skills available.... They'll be strong I suspect.

    me personally ,

i didnt like the WARDEN at all... it come so boring to me...

TANK: DK is great...animations and flames are awesome...it has charisma
Healar: Templar is the best...again animations are great...and skills (were)awesome.. till ZOS DESTROYS THEM
    DPS: Sorcerer iis numero 1...

As a healar Warden... it is too much cute flowers on animations for me...
As a TANK skills are boring to play to me...
DPS: there isnt any fun to play as dps that i tried...

but as a result... They gave almost everything all classes has and all uniqueness taken and giving to warden...THAT IS ALSO SO BORING...

Yes, but if your a good player and pro at positioning, with some anticipation you can be a really strong tank/heal.

Warden's will be the new solo meta in PvP. They have all the abilities to self sustain that they gutted from DK and Templar.
