Extra Transition Points?

While most of the zones link up fairly smoothly it's always irked me that there're no gates between Glenumbra/Rivenspire and the Alik'r Desert/Bangkorai. True, there are navigators that can take you from one to the other but for roleplayers such as myself it can be a little immersion-breaking (1st world problems, I know). Would you be in favour of extra transition points for the sake of a more "complete" world?

Number_51✭✭✭✭✭Not really for or against the idea, but I would have thought this works in favor of role-playing. While I guess I would prefer open borders I'm not really sure that would be feasible in a game like this (think of people fighting or exploring on the border were two steps to the right results in a load screen and two steps to the left in another).
As to your specific examples of Glenumbra/Rivenspire and Alik'r/Bankorai, I believe there are mountains in the way in both cases, and am pretty sure those mountains exists even in the maps in the older games. It looks like the mountains may have been expanded or even moved to fit the map in ESO but I don't think it's a stretch that most people of Tamriel (NPC) would take the easy way and follow a natural mountain pass (this is what I meant about supporting role-playing).
