vMA first completion

I dabbled with it in the past but couldn't stomach the idea of RNG. Well, the past couple of months I have grown bored to death of PvP... lookin very much forward to BG's.

Anyways, I decided that since I am bored of PvP, I will finally devote some real time to vMA. Took me a bit of time coming up with a build and then figuring out the mechanics... but pretty cool feeling after beating the last stage.

So I get lucky and I get a Sharpened Bow. I was pretty stoked about that seeing as I mostly play Stamina builds. Then, after I turned it gold, I wanted to test the damage out... this is when I noticed a new sound effect with Barrage... at first I thought I must be crazy... hearing this Thunder sound effect when launching Barrage... but then I thought... wait... is this a new sound effect? So I take off the bow and put on my other non vMA bow... no thunder sound... I put the vMA sharpened bow back on and BOOM! There is the Thunder again when launching Barrage...

REALLY? I know I might be in a minority here but honestly hearing that sound effect every time I launch Barrage is way way cool!

So not only am I rewarded for my first vMA completion with a Sharpened Bow, but I also get this new sound effect for Barrage... haha! very cool!

I completed it once, just to prove to myself that I can do it. I got worthless decon trash as my reward, and decided that I'm never running it again. I just can't deal with the idea of running it over and over and over, banging my head against RNG in hopes of getting what I want. If they ever implement a token system or some way to make it more likely to get the drop I want, then maybe. For now, the boost in DPS that I'm missing out on does not seem worth the frustration I would have to endure. Not when my current build is "adequate" for vet trials. I love ESO, but the endgame is not robust enough to make me put myself through that headache to get a BiS build and eek out 3k more DPS than I'm pulling now.

I never got a sharpened bow when I was running vma. I think I got a sharpened resto once and that was it for my sharpened drops.

Completed it for the first time yesterday as well. Congrats on the completion and the awesome find. I ended up with a powered restoration staff. No clue what I'm gonna do with it, but I'm definitely going to keep it.

2nd completion yielded me 2 decisive one handers...

3rd completion and I got what I wanted... a Sharpened 2 Hander!!!!!!

What are the odds???

My second completion was today. Got a set of 1 hand axes. One powered and on decisive. Definitely left a sour taste in my mouth for the place. Ran slit smoother this go around though.

It's so funny how my brain works... I was thinking that I won't do vMA again now that I have exactly what I wanted BUT I keep thinking about my awedsome luck which leads me to want to run it again... least a few more times...

I would like a couple one handers that are sharpened... and based on what I have read on the forums... if I got a sharpened destruction staff... that'd be crazy...

I only started my VMA journey a few weeks back and in my 10 clears I got a sharpened battle axe, sharpened ice staff, sharpened lightning staff (the one I really really wanted) and a precise bow.

I ran it over 100xs trying to get a sharp ice staff have all the other weapons sharpened so jelly

That amazing thunder sound means that your bow is discharging every 0,5sec xD better have a lot of soul gems, cause you will need to charge the bow almost every mob pack in trials/dungeons ^^

Funny you should mention that because I noticed pretty quickly the vMA bow going through charges Quick!!
