This thread has probably shown up several times. But it's worth emphasizing just how stupid this is. I just made a magicka DK on the PTS and I really wanted to see if the damage I could do on them was competitive with the damage I could do on some of my other characters on live & on the PTS.
I figured I'd try out the Queen's Elegance set to see how well it interacted with Molten Armaments. Nope. Not in the crate.
But hey! I have 10 million AP! I bet I could go into Cyrodiil and just buy the boxes from the vendor there and I'll almost definitely get the pieces I need, right? Nope. The campaign screen is just empty - I can't get into Cyrodiil period.
Okay, Queen's Elegance was maybe a little too specific. Burning Spellweave is extremely popular, maybe they have that? Nope. Okay, Moondancer? Nope. And the characters this week are copied from the EU servers, so I can't even use the gear I've already gotten.
Do the developers even want to hear feedback on how sustain and damage feels with the changes currently on the PTS? Because, at least for me, you're making it extremely difficult to test anything I think would make sense.

✭✭Yeah it's really stupid how they set it up. The gear that they do give us doesn't even have sharpened or impen. They don't have all the monster helms etc.

✭✭✭I've been banging this drum since the first PTS patch dropped.
No Infallible Aether, no Moondancer, no Vicious Ophidian, no Alkosh, no BSW, no Agility, no Willpower, no Sharpened weapons in any of the Template sets (except Maelstrom and Master weapons), missing Monster Sets, have to level Alchemy on the template characters ...
I'm a console player and went out of my way to get the PTS client installed and running on my PC, and I can't test anything useful.
@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom is it really that hard to get a few sets added to the Template boxes and provide weapons in Sharpened? I've been asking for this for weeks ...4 -

i was thinking if we could go to a chest somewhere and just be able to see every armor set and every weapon and basicly everything available in the chest.

✭✭It is a complete pain, especially when its not your turn for character transfer and you don't have anything you need to be able to test out your class properly with all of the changes and stuff!
Even if they just added a NON RNG vendor somewhere that sells all of the different sets that we aren't provided with, that would be great.
It would also be great if they unlocked the wayshrines closest to each mundus stone for the templates too...

✭✭I think there needs be a different way of getting the items to your character because just getting all these boxes with in boxes within boxes will be kind of dumb.
Atm i am waiting to get into Cryodil so I can buy the sets I need from the vendors there.
I am kind of annoyied I can't get any of the resource return sets I need to test resource options due to the sustain nerfs.
Not even having engine gaudian

At this point it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see a note on v3.0.3 that says: "The following sets are overpowered and have been removed from the game: Infallible Aether, Moondancer, Burning Spellweave, Vicious Ophidian, Roar of Alkosh, Agility, and Willpower. I don't even think that combat in Morrowind is necessarily bad. I just have no idea, and no way of knowing. And the way it's set up currently, the only feedback @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_RichLambert @Wrobel should even expect from the PTS is whether or not current setups (that people actually use on live) work or not. And of course they *** don't, that was literally the point of all these changes: using exactly the same sets on live (i.e. all damage) won't provide anywhere near enough sustain, so we need to figure out how to make things work with other sets. But we can't do that if we don't have access to those sets.
There are probably ways to make it work for each class (stamina or magicka). But it's essentially outright impossible for anyone to come in and say 'hey, these obscure sets nobody really used before could really work well together with these changes to CP' if you don't give us the sets.
People getting the idea that heavy attacking is necessary is pretty much inevitable if all they're trying to do is find a way to make the sets they currently use on live work on the PTS.0 -

✭✭✭I've experimented with sustain sets and enchantments and food/drink. IMO they are not viable for the content I play. Heavy attacking for sustain has resulted in far superior DPS than trying to sustain via buffing regen, in my tests.
Funny, though, that the most useful tool for stam sustain, Vicious Ophidian, is still missing from the PTS template containers.0
