ok so what are u farming to make 3mil in two week, caus i call BS..
only way ur making that amount is by farming world bosses and getting lucky with RNG, their isnt anything else that can make you that amount of gold
Call BS all you like, this topic caught my interest as for the last four days I also am farming for Necro bits and bobs, I have everything except a sharp inferno staff. My farming spot is Obsidian Scar (OS) public dungeon. On Monday just passed i had less than 200k gold in the bank, i have sold just one item in the guild store (which went for 40k) today i have exactly 700k gold banked which means other than making 12k gold per day from my writs (3 characters) that by far the most gold has come from farming runs. I run 2 farmng runs per day through OS and each of these runs is approx 2 hours duration, 4 hours x 4 days gives me approx completed 16 hours farming time for the ~400k extra that has been banked, that equates to 25k per hour gold from pick ups and selling to the merchant.. Its certainly "do-able" in 14 days if the poster puts in the time..
splitting it down:-
so700k - 200k = 500k
500k - 40k from GS = 460k
14 days writs x 12k day = 168k
460k - 168k = 292k
292k /14 days = 20.8k a day.
which is perfectly doable.
as you stated your grind time was a 4 grind.....hes stating 3mil in 2weeks.. which is 6x more, so unless hes a machine farming 24hrs a day... thats what i called bs on..
3 million in 2 weeks is VERY doable... but personally I'd do it by a combination of trading & crafting writs... Farming takes way too long to make gold in comparison.
With a combination of crafting writs on 5 charachters, and a LITTLE trading/flipping I still make 750k - 1 million per week. I don't even do that much trading at the minute... with a small amount of effort 3 million in 2 weeks is not hard tbh.
Agreed. Yes. Having all divines is great. But once I spent like $50k to make my last piece divines, it was a sturdy gauntlet currently. The total difference in critical chance with the thief mundus stone for more crit chance, after I gold upgraded the gauntlet, 1.3%. Wow. $50k for a 1% higher chance of crit.DRXHarbinger wrote: »Lord_Dexter wrote: »Hey, so, the Necropotence farm is pretty awful. On the flip side, I've gotten countless good pieces of Darkstride, and Vampire Lord or whatevever, but it's a crap set. So, a suggestion...
Why not introduce some kind of currency for farming in the overworld zones? Like tokens for killing world bosses, looting chests, completing delves (not just the first time, give us a reason to come back to these little gems), doing quests, whatever.
I'd recommend the tokens NOT be zone specific, as that would add too many different types of currency, and be annoying. Something similar to Tel Var stones, but for the PvE/Overworld areas. Put a vendor in each major city in that zone, and make the equipment BoP. It sucks competing with people looking to cash in on the latest meta, when you just wanna gear out your sorc. This would be a good, and potentially better alternative to getting the gear you want, without paying extreme prices for those that are happy to put in the time. It would also encourage people to do things other than World Boss rotations, or dolmen grinding, etc.
It can even be a sucky RNG loot bag, but at least let us choose what SET the loot bag is.
TLDR; Overworld Tokens for zone specific set gear to make the gear grind more bearable.
If they intriduced overland sets to purchase in desire trait via some currency then prices will go down a lot, no one will do any hard work to get a set..
Dungeons and Trials sets need some sort of currency for purchasing not overland as u can buy them from traders..
You can already farm hundreds of thousands of ap in no time and splurge it all on boxes to get it. I got both shape staves after spending over 1m AP in them, levelled up alliance rank etc as well. Not needed at all.
I spend over 2 million and got a sharpened resto and defending destro... Its still rng..
To the OP though - just know when to stop - its a game where you should be having fun. If you have a couple of pieces which don't have BiS traits, but the grind is killing you - just say 'It'll do' - and go do what you have fun with instead. Those last few won't make much difference in performance.

but the original post clearly stated that he wasnt flipping anything on ah, just grinding.. so please keep that garbage out..
people that just flip items dont help the economy, ur forcing items prices to go up, which then equalate to the gold you make, u then spend back on items others have inflated, which is more of a problem 2bh.. because unless you got the gold to start with , your only forcing others out of the market.. and limiting sales.
bennysbeastb16_ESO2 wrote: »yea but we know that isnt what happens, caus no1 puts up a staff for 5k, more like they stick it up for 200k and u flip it 350-400k, and lets be honest you wouldnt be making 3mil a few flipping a few k's, nor would be running all over the world, for a few k's..
also common knowledge hat the rich put items up for sale, and get their mates to buy items(giving them gold bk) so that Master merchant average price goes up, you only have to look at data charts to see it.
flipping items send prices up, it always has and always will, only in large commodities (like gold mats) were it cant be done efficiently.
It's just human nature to always want the very best thing. We seldom settle willingly for 2nd place, we just do it when we have to. Game design has long implemented these basic psychology findings.
Pro tip....stop wasting time farming perfect armor traits.

I had no clue this even existed lol. So you can use your AP and go to PVE zones and get that zones gear or what?
jakeedmundson wrote: »Pro tip....stop wasting time farming perfect armor traits.
Traits on armor make a MINIMAL difference.
Its insane that some people are spending 100k+ on a divine belt or boots!
Lets say you get divine on 2 pieces... leaving 3 pieces without it. because chest and legs are easier to farm.
Everyone uses the thief mundus... so even if you GOLD out your armor (which you would also be stupid for doing because its a waste of mats)... you would only gain 2.7% crit chance! or closer to 2% if its purple gear.
Is less than 3% crit worth wasting DOZENS of hours or literally hundreds of thousands of gold? nope... its not.
You could do any trial without divine gear. Even from a min maxing standpoint... the dps difference is minimal.
